November Makeup Haul-Lips,Cheeks and Brushes

This is the second post of my November makeup haul. I picked up a few more things from a few brands that I've been meaning to try for a while.

LOREAL INFALLIBLE  LIPCOLOR

Every since I saw Beyonce' in the L'oreal commercial I wanted to try this lip color. I wanted to see if the 16 hour- never fail color would live up to it's claim. I love this color! I lost my Mac Ruby Woo lipstick and I was very upset but now that I have this color, I could care less about finding my Ruby Woo lipstick. This red is an excellent dupe for Ruby Woo, I actually like it better than Ruby Woo. I purchased it from Target for $8.99. I saw it at CVS and it was priced for $13.99... Target is the best bet. I could go on and on about this lipstick but I'm going to save it for my review with pictures.

NYX CREAM BLUSHES

I've also been meaning to try cream blushes forever, but I was always apprehensive about applying it since cream can be more concentrated than powder at times. I decided to try cream blushes from an inexpensive brand like NYX. NYX has many great products that I'm a fan of and these cream blushes were no exception! I bought these from a seller off of Ebay. It was about $13 for 2 blushes including shipping.

You get a great amount for the price. These blushes are very easy to blend and they last all day. I also plan on using them as cream color bases for eyeshadow and powder blushes. The application is a breeze, although I'm still trying to find the perfect brush to apply it with. I got the colors Red Cheeks and Bronze Goddess. I thought Red Cheeks would be a dupe for Nars Exhibit A blush but it's not... Red Cheeks is a berry color, so I will eventually have to fork over the $25 to buy the Nars Exhibit A blush. Bronze Goddess is a beautiful color, it is your ideal bronzer and blush all in one.

SIGMA BRUSHES

I've heard so many reviews (all postiive) about Sigma brushes from You Tube and from other makeup artists. Sigma finally made it so that you can purchase individual brushes from their website instead of buying the full set. So, I of course had to see what the hype was all about, plus I'm a Sigma affiliate (more about that later) so I purchased 2 of their brushes.

I bought the E 60 Large Shader brush and the F80 Flat top Kabuki brush. I purchased the large shader brush for my kit because I needed a brush to apply pigments, emollients and bases to my client's eyes. The E60 is a replica for Mac's 252 shader brush, it's also the same as Mac's 242 brush but it's larger.

I bought the Flat top Kabuki brush for myself because it's one of Sigma's best selling brushes and it's supposed to deliver flawless foundation application. I haven't tried either brush yet, so I really can't say at this point if I like them or not. I will have a full review for both brushes very soon. I'm having a blog contest the end of the month and depending on how I like the F80 Flat top Kabuki brush... it'll be in the giveaway!

That is all for my November haul. I won't be buying this much again for several months... it was fun while it lasted :)

I know, I love this shade of red. Target and most drugstores like CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens carry that color and I'm sure someone on Ebay is selling it.

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger,  Lollipuff , who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags. Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag! Before At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red interi

Mac Face and Body Foundation Review

One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a  review on it, so here it is. Product Claims "A water-based, water-resistant foundation that provides long-lasting, natural coverage for face and/or body. Ideal for all skin types. Face and Body Foundation provides sheer, natural looking coverage in an easy to blend, water-resistant formula. The long-lasting formula is available in a wide range of colours and contains several emollients to help moisturize and condition the skin. It delivers professional looking results that meet the exacting standards of beauty photography and is ideal for perfecting the face and body." Pros -Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances). -For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle. -Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face.

Creme of Nature Lemongrass and Rosemary Leave-In Conditioner Review

After promising myself to take better care of my hair, I read in a hair care magazine that if you have breakage or dry hair (like my hair) to consider purchasing a leave-in conditioner, since you don't have to rinse it out-the conditioner keeps on working and conditioning your hair. This was perfect for me because I'm really lazy when it comes to styling and taking care of my own hair... usually I look for products that are easy and quick to use. I do use Creme of Nature's Detangling shampoo, so I figured I would buy their leave-in conditioner. FYI- Creme of Nature is a brand that specializes in hair care products for women of color, who have natural or relaxed hair. They mostly use natural ingredients in their products, which they call "Certified Organic." Product Claims "Pamper your hair with this creme-based formula to soften, detangle, and provide the ultimate conditioning.  Perfect for color treated hair, organic  Lemongrass works to tone and hig
