Top 5 Faves of 2014 (Skin, Hair and Makeup)

Hey Glamour Dolls! Can't believe there are only two weeks left in the year! These are my top five products that I've consistently used throughout the year and I've repurchased over and over again. Read on, and I"ll tell you why I love them. 1. Mac Studio Moisture Cream Moisturizer I originally bought this moisturizer in a travel sized version to sample. The cream is light weight and very moisture rich. It gives my skin a nice radiance and leaves my skin supple. It works wonders in the Fall/Winter months because my skin drinks up moisturizer in the cooler months. I've used other moisturizers and I would put it on and you couldn't tell that I put anything on thirty minutes later; with this moisturizer, it stays on longer. I liked it so much that I went on and bought the full size version. 2. Clarisionic Skin Care System The Clarisonic skin care system is a must-have holy grail product for me! I have blemished, acne prone skin and I can

Pink Bordello (LOTD)

I'm back with another look! I decided to do a look using mostly products that I recently hauled in the last few months, besides four products; everything mentioned was recently purchased.  I'm seriously trying to use everything I buy. I was inspired by the pink blouse I was wearing and I decided to use Urban Decay's Bordello (pale mauve with gold micro-glitter) eyeshadow as my main color, it came out being a melange of a pink frosty look. I was feeling extra, so I wore some lashes! Take a look for yourself :-) Products Used Brows -Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in Auburn -Mac Select Cover Up concealer NC45 to clean up brows Eyes -Lorac Behind the Scenes eyeshadow primer -Lorac Nectar e/s as highlight -Lorac Light Brown e/s as transition color -Lorac Cool Gray e/s as crease color -Urban Decay Bordello e/s on lid -Maybelline Ultra Liner black liquid liner on upper lash line -Wink and Pout Baby Doll lashes by Kym Lee -Eylure Lashfix

Fall Lips: Using Black Dahlia Lip Tar

Hey Dolls, Since Fall is here, I thought it was time to pull out my fall appropriate lip colors like the deeper berries, plums and rich reds. Yesterday, I wore Black Dahlia metallic tar by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC), it's such a beautiful color for this time of year. It's described as a blackened burgundy with red pearl. I wore the color alone but I can't wait to use it with a deep berry liner to vamp it up. Here's how it looks: With flash... Without flash... Duck lips in full effect... OCC lip tars retail for $18. Lip tars can be purchased from OCC, Sephora and Camera Ready Cosmetics. The color Black Dahlia is available in the original matte finish and the metal finish. I'm partial to the metal finish because it applies like a gloss and dries to a metallic finish.  Also, the metallic colors have these gorgeous sparkles in them that are so eye catching and beautiful on the lips. The color is so gorgeous.  What fall colored l

Mac Pro Class: Highlighting and Contouring Recap

Hey Dolls, I had the opportunity to take a Mac Pro Class this year! There were two in my area this year, I took the highlighting and contouring class at the Pentagon City Mac store in Arlington, VA; a few weeks ago. FYI, the classes are cheaper now; this one was $25 for two hours and non redeemable in product. The price used to be $100 and fully redeemable in product. The class was taught by Mac Senior Artist, Regan Rabanal . He taught us his tips and tricks and he did two demos on two women with different skin types and complexions to show how he uses a variety of techniques and products based on the client's needs. Here are a few tips that I learned: 1. One contouring technique doesn't fit all. Consider the face shape and texture of skin. Someone who already has a slim, narrow face will not need as much contouring as someone who has a round face. It also helps to observe the skin to see where the natural highlight and contours are already forming. On s

My Latest Haul: Urban Decay, Too Faced, Lorac and more!

Hey Dolls! I have got to do so much better, these sporadic posts are for the birds. I did a nice lil haul for myself last month. I haven't purchased makeup since The Makeup Show (that was all for my professional makeup kit) so; I guess a haul for myself was long overdue. My hauls have no rhyme or reason, I just buy because of sales, my moods and the pretty colors! Here are the deets: Urban Decay and Too Faced Cosmetics Ulta had their 21 days of beauty sale last month. I had been eyeing the Urban Decay Shadow Box, I purchased it for a little over $30. It comes with 12 shades, 11 shimmer and 1 matte shade. Urban Decay shadows have never disappointed me and neither does this palette. It's small, so it will be great for traveling. The color ranges are good for creating a neutral, colorful or smokey eye. I also received a mini sample of the Urban Decay Perversion mascara, not bad at all. Ulta had a deal that if you by $50 in product, you cold get a free Too Faced mi

The Makeup Show...Here I Come!

Hey, Dolls So it has been a good while since I posted, this is actually my first post of the year (I'm a bit ashamed). Being busy has gotten the best of me, it has left me little energy for my hobbies; like blogging. Everyone is busy these days, so; I don't feel so bad. I am going to The Makeup Show this year! I will be going only one day this time, which is on Monday. I'm excited (as usual). Although, I haven't been blogging; I am up to date on the beauty world...I just haven't blogged about it lately. This time at The Makeup Show, I will be buying for my kit mostly. I have a few more things to add to it and will be complete. I hope to take a few workshops as well. When I get back, I will have a post of my haul and the happenings at the event. I always get inspired all over again for beauty, blogging and makeup at the show, this year, I'm sure will be no different. I have some reviews, an OOTD post and a couple of other posts I want to blog about when
