Summer Chic OOTD!

Hello, Dolls! Yayy, this is my second post of the month! Let's hope I can keep this up, every month. I've been choosing to keep it comfortable and chic for summer fashion. A jumpsuit accomplishes that for me.  A jumpsuit was my go-to back in the day. Whenever I went “out out”, I always wore a jumpsuit. I’ve embraced other styles of clothing, but I always came back to a jumpsuit. They’re always flattering, and I don’t have to worry about coordinating clothing pieces to wear with it. ⁣They're simple, and you look effortlessly put together.  If jumpsuits are your thing, I’ve linked similar ones in my LIKEtoKNOW.it profile. You can shop my daily looks by following me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it shopping app http://liketk.it/3jUA2  @shop.ltk  ⁣ What I'm Wearing: Necklace: Cato Fashions ⁣ Jumpsuit: Roses Discount Store ⁣ Shoes: Boo Hoo ⁣ Clutch: Rainbow Shops ⁣ Shades: Shop Alyra ⁣ Lippie: Morphe Bloodshot What's your go-to clothing piece?

Self Care is. . . taking mini getaways!

Sometimes you need to get away to recharge. Life, including it's up and downs, many curveballs, and not to mention still coping with a global pandemic can take a draining toll. If left unchecked, this can lead to burnout, mental + emotional fatigue and the onset of being stuck in a rut. What helps me to pour back into myself is self care. I engage in several forms of self care; but, one of my favorite ways to unwind is taking a mini getaway. I find that they’re refreshing and relaxing. ⁣ ⁣ If you’re thinking about planning your own getaway, here are a few suggestions: ⁣ ✨Try Booking.com for hotel reservations. Their rates are already low, but sometimes they’ll offer a mobile offer or getaway offer that is a steal! ⁣ ⁣ ✨ You don’t have to go far to get away, I promise you that they’re nice spots nearby. ⁣For my last getaway, I stayed 20 miles away from my home. If you chose this option, pick a location in your town that you've always wanted to explore.  ⁣ ✨ Live in the moment. M...

Summer Style OOTD + Summer Style Must-Haves!

Hello, Dolls How is everyone? It has been some time since I posted. I'm well, and I hope you all are too. I'm really trying to get back into posting at least twice a month to keep consistent. That's the plan, let's hope I can stick to it.  Summer is finally here! I'm excited about this summer because we really didn't have a summer last year due to quarantine. So, I'm anxiously looking forward to doing all of the things I wanted to do last summer, and wear all of the unworn summer clothes that I bought last year.  This outfit is giving me true summer vibes. This look combines five of my summer favorites. I've listed them below: -Dope Pair of Shades: No explanation needed. -Graphic Tee: A fun tee that can take you to the cookouts & Girls' Night Out is a must! -Midi Skirt: They're my go-to skirt. They're flattering on everyone. -Straw Bag: Is it really summer without a straw bag or straw hat?  -Comfortable Slides: I love heels, but I plan ...

My Word for 2021!

Hello, Dolls! I hope you all are doing well.  I recently finished a 5 day Content Confident consistency challenge on Instagram! Creating content is so much more than what I thought, I always feel like I need improvement. So, I thought why not join the challenge. Each day we had to answer a specific question given to us. One of the questions was "what was your power word for 2021?" For the past three years, I have been using power words to set the tone for my year. I consider it to be my own personal affirmation.  I pick my power word for the new year in December. Each month when I plan and write goals for the month, I have the power word written above the month. I use that as a visual reminder of what I'm working towards. I wanted to share it with you all.  My power word for 2021 is 𝐮𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝. I didn’t choose it because I wanted to be cold, heartless, or unfeeling. I chose it because I no longer wanted to be irritated by simple and trivial things that d...

Beauty Favorites of 2020!

Hello, Glamour Dolls I hope 2021 is starting off well for all of you! Today, I'm sharing my favorite beauty products of 2020. I spent the most of 2020 at home, but it did give me some time to play with beauty products. Here are my top four products. 💫⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Perfume: Being at home didn’t stop me from wearing fragrances, I started wearing it around the house and even to bed. YSL Libre is my favorite scent right now; I couldn’t find it in time to take this pic. My next favorite is Gabrielle Chanel. It’s my name, 😊 and it’s light and soft. ⁣If you like soft florals, you may like Gabrielle Chanel.  ⁣ 🤎 Lashes: I didn’t go many places in 2020, but when I did, I did a full beat. Any lashes that have volume and glam, I’ll wear it. I recently fell in love with mink lashes. I have a few on my list that I’m going to try, but what’s a few more?! Leave me any recommendations in the comments. 😉⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation: This was my go to foundation all year....

Brunch Vibes OOTD!

Hello, Dolls!  I’ve been wanting to go to brunch all lockdown. Brunch is my favorite meal! It's nothing like having a refreshing mimosa to sip on! I finally went a few weeks ago, and it was worth the wait! It was a special occasion, and I was in the company of fabulous women! 🥰 We ate at Kitchen Cray Cafe , which is in Lanham, MD. I got the crab grits, it was soo good! The food is always delicious and they always come through with the music, and mellow vibes! How dope is this mural?! 🔥⁣ ⁣ ⚡️I wasn’t able to wear what I originally planned; but, wearing black and white always come through in a pinch. 🙂 ⁣ Outfit links are on LIKEtoKNOW.it. Self Care is. . . knowing when to take breaks!

The month of October was a great month for crushing some of my blogger + influencer goals ! I decided to take a needed break to focus on myself. Since my blog is mostly social now, (I post mainly on Instagram ), I sometimes get lost in creating, planning, filming, and photographing consistent content that I forget about the person behind the content. 💯⁣ I don't want that to become a habit, so I took two weeks to nurture myself and accomplish a few personal goals. I was also able to plan + create content, reassess my blog, and make some changes. I can honestly say that I feel refreshed! 🙌🏽 ⁣ ⚡️The takeaway from this post is that frequent breaks are essential to self care. Breaks are for you, you don’t need permission to take them, and please don’t feel guilty for taking them. Taking regular breaks can prevent burnout, refresh you, enhance your perspective, and increase creativity. I encourage you to take breaks as needed.❣️⁣ Fun Fact: This is a Flashback pic from last year. I a...
