Things to Do in DC ~ DC Wine Fest! 🍷

Hi Dolls,  I’ve been enjoying myself in these DC streets! DC has had an amazing lineup of festivals, and I’ve enjoyed all of them. Wine and good company is always a vibe for me. I went to DC Wine Fest  DC Wine Fest  a few weeks ago. I sampled new wines, tried gin and bourbon for the first time, and purchased a few bottles to take home. To see a brief glimpse of the experience, see the video below.  I love traveling and experiencing new places, but (to me) it’s nothing like experiencing what your own city has to offer.  #funthingstodoindc The Deets:⁣ ⁣ 📍The Wine Fest was held at Union Market. 1309 5th Street NE Washington, DC 20002.⁣ ⁣ 🎟️ Tickets ranged from $35-$55, it depends on what session you pick. ⁣ ⁣ 🥂Your ticket includes a complimentary wine glass and wine samplings. ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️ The Fall edition DC Wine Fest will be held on 10/19/2024. If interested, tickets can be purchased at DC Wine Fest  or Eventbrite .

Blazer Obsessed! 🤎

I’ve been loving blazers more. It’s the essential piece to pull almost any look together, and they’re a great layering piece. Since I’ve been watching old episodes of Murder She Wrote, 😆I love to add a brooch to them. She always wore a brooch with her blazers. ⁣ ⁣ ✨Here are three blazer styles that I think would be a great addition to any wardrobe: ⁣ ⁣ •Structured Blazer- for the tailored, chic look⁣ •Boyfriend Blazer- loose fitting and forgiving, especially for weight gain⁣ •Colorful Blazer-adds pop of color to outfits ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ What I'm wearing: Blazer: Shein Curve (sold out) ⁣ Pants: Fashion Nova Curve (sold out) ⁣ Flats: Amazon  Amazon  What's your favorite type of blazer?

Well-Being ~ Recommitting to a Healthy Lifestyle!

“Your body can stand almost anything. It’s your mind that you have to convince.” ⁣ ⁣ Hi Dolls,  I've wrote about my overall well-being journey before and how it's an ongoing journey for me. Today, I will talk about the physical aspect of that journey. I’ve recommitted to my healthy lifestyle journey, (again) I’ve reflected on the above quote a lot.  I’ve been back and forth on this journey since 2021, and (honestly) this is the most consistent that I’ve been and the most weight that I’ve loss. ⁣I really feel like this time I'm more determined, and I know my "why" reason for recommitting and staying on this journey.  ⁣ So, what’s been helping me: ⁣ Tracking all of my food⁣, I use my Weight Watchers app for this.  Portion control, I limit myself to one portion ⁣ Walking, whether it’s cardio or a brisk walk⁣ Eating intentionally, I no longer eat to pass time, or just because food is there. ⁣ I will admit, this is not always easy. As I type this, I'm craving a s

In my Peaceful Era ~ My Word for 2024!

Happy Spring, Dolls! 🌷 Each year, I reflect on what I want for the year. This year, I turned another decade older, so I did a lot of reflection on what I want I no longer want to carry into this new decade of my life.  One of the things that I desire for myself the most is peace. It is my hope that peace will not just be limited to being my word for 2024, my desire is for it to become a core attribute to my inner well-being.  I want: ⁣ ⁣ more peace with myself⁣ ⁣ to do more of what brings more peace⁣ ⁣ to disconnect from anything that disturbs my peace ⁣ ⁣ ⚡️ Peace is my word for 2024. If you’ve chosen a word or phrase for this year, please share.
