Finding My Way Back-Outfit of the Day!

Hello, Dolls! Happy December! I hope you all are doing fine!  Lately, as far as fashion is concerned, I've been uninspired to create anything. Hence, the title of this post, "finding my way back." My lack of inspiration is a combination of a lot of things: stress, lack of motivation, no creativity, etc. I've decided to take a brief break; and then come back with some new content, and hopefully, new creativity. In the meantime, here's a look that I put together in October.  An easy poncho, vegan leather pants, and heeled boots are all stylish components for a fabulous Fall look. They all came together wonderfully in this outfit! Of course, I have to have my accessories. I couldn't wait to wear this quilted leather bag from Kate Spade. I got the bag from Uptown Cheapskate , it's my favorite thrift store! I like wearing ponchos loosely; but for this look, I wanted the fit and flare look. So, I added a vegan leather belt to cinch my waist.  What I'm Wear

A Weekend in NYC! (Travel Diary)

Hello, Dolls! ✨ I spent last weekend in NYC! The primary reason for going was to attend the Makeup Show. I had planned to go up on the bus and come back home that night, but my sister preferred the more relaxed option of staying over. That week leading up to the trip was so draining, so I couldn't thank her more for choosing to stay over. We stayed for a day and a half. For some reason, I feel that you need at least two to three days to feel relaxed and refreshed when getting away. This trip proved me so wrong. I felt so refreshed, it felt like we were there longer.  Accommodations We stayed at Springhill Suites Manhattan/Times Square . I chose that option because it was a discounted rate for makeup show attendees of $169 per night, which is a great deal for a hotel in NYC. Our stay was very pleasant; the hotel was located close to everything that we needed. The staff were very courteous and accommodating. We arrived early on our arrival day. We planned to leave our bags at conci

The Makeup Show NYC 2021 ~ My Experience!

Hello, Dolls! I attended The Makeup Show in NYC over the weekend! I haven't been in years, since before the pandemic. As you can imagine, I was excited to attend! For those that don't know, The Makeup Show is a makeup convention held annually for makeup artists and the like. In addition to the educational seminars held for learning, you can also purchase makeup and essentials, at a pro discount.  The Details You can choose to attend one day or both days, I chose to attend on Saturday. The show was held for vaccinated attendees only. All brands and exhibitors were required to be vaccinated as well. Proof of vaccination (at least one shot) had to be shown upon entry. This happened to be my first event amongst a large crowd since Covid, so there was a measure of anxiety that I had, but it turned out well. I also chose to wear my mask the entire time, except to take the occasional pic.  At the show, there are several seminars and workshops (both free and for a fee) to further yo

Well-Being: Supporting my Immune System with Elderberry!

Hello, Dolls #ad 💜 One thing about getting older is that I'm more concerned with my overall well-being. All I want is to be healthy and happy. That's one of the reasons why I started taking elderberry supplements to support my immune system.  I've been taking them since last year, and I can definitely feel the difference. I've added @airborne_us elderberry gummies to my daily routine; they give me the confidence to take on my day! Not only do they help support my immune system,* they also include a uniquely crafted blend of vitamins, minerals and herbs. In My Element~ Outfit of the Day!

Hello, Glamour Dolls I'm in love with Walmart fashion, they have some of the most trendiest brands that don't break the bank. A few of my favorite Walmart brands are No Boundaries and Time and Tru . Today, I'm going into more detail about the Eloquii Elements brand.  💗I adore the Eloquii Elements collection!  Here's why: ~Their pieces are sophisticated, on-trend and chic ~They have quality clothing, affordably priced at $50 and under ~Something about Eloquii just makes me feel grown up and cosmopolitan!  ⭐I love many clothing brands, but Eloquii is probably in my top three for plus-size fashion.  About the Look: The balloon sleeve dress I'm wearing is from the Eloquii Elements collection. It's true to size, has great stretch, and is $17! It's also versatile, I've worn it by itself, and to work with leggings under. The wedge heels are by another Walmart brand that I love, Scoop by Sofia Vergara ...check her out! It's hat season, and none of my loo

Crown Adjusted 👑 . . . How to Remind Yourself of your Dopeness! (Long)

Crown Adjusted... my sister and I say this to each other when one of us temporarily forgets who we are, and what we can accomplish. No matter how confident you are, you will have moments of feeling insecure, inadequate, or even unworthy. Guess what? It's normal. It doesn't mean you're any less confident. Sometimes it hits you out of nowhere , and other times you'll know what triggered the emotion.  I've struggled with wallowing in these negative emotions. Recently, I've made a more consistent effort to change that. I refuse to let my mind (something I can control) get the best of me. It's work, it's not easy. I'll admit that sometimes it feels easier to sit in the negativity.  I had a serious episode of negative feelings that hit me a few weeks ago, I knew I had to pull myself out of it.  Here’s what helped: ~Talk to someone: Talking to someone allows you to vent, and it gives you clarity. I’m not vulnerable with my feelings at all. For some reason

Fall Cozy Must-Haves!

I absolutely love Fall! 🍂 I enjoyed Summer! I didn't want it to go, but I welcome Fall too. Fall is just the perfect time to admire the beautiful leaves changing colors, get cozy while reading a good book, decorate your home, and try every pumpkin spice drink (if you like it) you can find.  One of the things I look forward to in Fall is to make my home cozy. I know that my home can be cozy all year, but having a cozy home hits different in the cooler months. Plus, it gives me my own pockets of peace. Here are my latest must-haves that create cozy Fall vibes: Fall Cozy Vibes Checklist  Fall Decor  Fall scented candle  Hot drink topped with marshmallows  Cozy Hoodie Blanket  The hoodie blanket I'm wearing is made with fleece on the inside and outside, it perfectly combines the coziness of a blanket, and the warmth of a hoodie. If you’re cold natured, like me, you’ll love this in the cooler months. It’s super warm, soft and cozy! Mine is from 9basic. If you would like to get yo
