Brunch Vibes OOTD!

Hello, Dolls!  I’ve been wanting to go to brunch all lockdown. Brunch is my favorite meal! It's nothing like having a refreshing mimosa to sip on! Self Care is. . . knowing when to take breaks!

The month of October was a great month for crushing some of my blogger + influencer goals ! I decided to take a needed break to focus on myself. Since my blog is mostly social now, (I post mainly on Instagram ), I sometimes get lost in creating, planning, filming, and photographing consistent content that I forget about the person behind the content. 💯⁣ I don't want that to become a habit, so I took two weeks to nurture myself and accomplish a few personal goals. I was also able to plan + create content, reassess my blog, and make some changes. I can honestly say that I feel refreshed! 🙌🏽 ⁣ ⚡️The takeaway from this post is that frequent breaks are essential to self care. Breaks are for you, you don’t need permission to take them, and please don’t feel guilty for taking them. Taking regular breaks can prevent burnout, refresh you, enhance your perspective, and increase creativity. I encourage you to take breaks as needed.❣️⁣ Fun Fact: This is a Flashback pic from last year. I a

World Kindness Day + 3 Simple Ways to Practice Kindness!

Hi, Dolls Yesterday was World Kindness day! 💛⁣ ⁣ The funny thing is before I knew yesterday was World Kindness day, I wrote “display more kindness” as a goal for November. 📝 ⁣ ✨I wrote kindness as a goal because I tend to focus on multitasking and getting things done quickly + efficiently that sometimes kindness gets lost in my eagerness to complete tasks. In other words, I can be short and abrupt when I’m trying to get something done. ⁣ ⁣ ✨I’m working on showing more kindness this month by actively listening when people are talking. This means putting my phone down, and getting my head out of the computer when people are talking to me...really giving them my undivided attention. ⁣ ⁣ Here are a few ways to sprinkle more kindness around today and regularly. 💛⁣ ⁣ ⚡️Genuinely compliment people. ⁣ ⚡️Remember to say “please,” “thank you,” and “you’re welcome.”⁣ ⚡️When you’re buying hand sanitizer, pick up an extra bottle for a friend or loved one. ⁣ ⁣ Outfit links are on LIKEtoKNOW.it .

I plant too!

I plant too. 🌱⁣ ⁣ Meet Alabastian, pronounced al-uh-bash-chin. One of my coworkers  named him. 🙂 He’s my main plant bae!  Glamour Dolls, I didn’t know planting was a thing until early this year. So, I’m new to the planting community. ⁣With that being said, any planting tips and suggestions are welcome! Please leave them in the comments.  I keep my plants at work because I’ve gotten used to caring for plants at work, and I think they’ll die if I take them home. ⁣ ⁣ Lifestyle Tip:⚡️Consider adding a plant to your work area! It personalizes your work space, and the greenery brightens up any office decor. I think it’s cool to see how much it has grown when you come back to work after the weekend or vacation. ⁣ P.S. My earrings are from Forever 21, they’re $5! Fall Fashion Favorites!

Hello, Glamour Dolls! It's that time of the year for Fall Fashion; I can never get enough of it! I’ve listed a few of my Fall fashion essentials that will enhance any Fall look! ⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Fedora: Besides keeping your head warm from the cooler temps, fedoras are stylish and go well with Fall outfits. Did you know that all head and face shapes can wear a fedora? ⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Leopard Flats: Leopard is always in style, and leopard flats are a fashionable way to be comfortable. If you like to wear more neutrals and warm hues in the Fall, leopard will pair beautifully with it. These flats were $9 from  @walmartfashion .  ⁣ 🤎 Statement Earrings: You can never go wrong with statement earrings. When I wear statement earrings, I let the statement earrings steal the show by keeping my necklace simple. ⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Shades: I wear shades all year because the sun is always out, it’s my signature look, and they’re chic! I wore mostly cat eye and aviator shades in the Summer, I decided to switch up to oversized

Let's Talk Self Care!

𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐲” ⁣Unknown⁣ I’ll admit that life gets busy, and it can be hard to take some time for yourself. Here are two self care tips that I’ve been enjoying, and they don’t require a lot of time.  ⭐️Enjoy nature: I have to take a ride every weekend (mask worn, and I practice proper social distancing) to get some fresh air. I like to ride to a local beach in my area, sit on the bench, and watch the water. It’s so calming, and being outside gives me enhanced clarity. I can think clearer. When I can’t do that, a ride out in my car, playing my fave songs is just as relaxing. ⁣ ⁣ ⭐️Gratitude Journal: During the month, I write down everything that went well (big and small). At the end of the year, I can look back on everything that went well for me in the year! This helps me to practice gratitude, and appreciate my blessings more. This is helpful when I get an inkling of envy or start comparing myself to someon

Casual Style OOTD!

Hello, Dolls How is everyone? I'm well. It has been a very long week for me. All this week, I've been wearing simple, but comfortable and casual looks to work. There are several reasons why: The first is because it's hot! The temps in Maryland are in the high 90's, and the humidity makes it feel like it's 100 degrees or more! The second is because my job has started doing Curbside service this week; so, I wanted to dress as comfortable as I can being that I'm going back and forth to service customers. This outfit is one of the looks that I wore this week. The jumpsuit is a fashion oldie but a goody; I love it! It's so comfortable! I decided to add some sass to it by adding the tassel earrings; and I love a good pair of shades. I don't go anywhere without my sunglasses! Outfit deets are listed below!  What I'm Wearing: Jumpsuit: Forever21 Sandals: Boo Hoo Tassel Earrings: Boo Hoo Handbag: Shoedazzle Shades: Shopalyr

Summer Favorites in Skincare, Makeup + Accesories!

Summer is finally here! I've been looking forward to summer since spring time. I have been on a clothing and accessory craze, while choosing a minimalist approach to makeup. I'll explain why. Here is my short list and mini review of a few items that I've been loving.  Mobile Oasis-Oat & Black Soap I'm a product junkie when it comes to skin care because I'm always searching for a cleanser to prevent and treat my adult acne. No matter what I try, I keep coming back to African Black soap. I noticed that when I use it, my breakouts are minimal. Plus, an added benefit is that it's not drying on the skin; and over time, it lightens acne scarring. I bought this liquid Black Soap from Mobile Oasis, not only am I impressed with the skin results, I'm also impressed with the formula and the generous amount in the bottle. It's $12 for a 16 oz bottle. Sephora Lip Stains Because of the pandemic, I have developed a minimalist approach to makeup.

What I've Been Up To + Quarantine Reflections!

Cherry Blossom Parade 2019...before having to wear masks + gloves outside.  Hello, Dolls How is everyone? I hope everyone is safe and doing well during this time. I know it's been months since I've posted. I've been doing well. I've been maintaining during this time.  I was off work for a while because of the pandemic, and then I resumed work with teleworking. Now, I'm back at "work work", inside the branch. I'm getting used to going out of my home every day, trying to adjust to this new normal-while still trying to enjoy life. In quarantine, I had so many high hopes for productivity. I said I was going to do this, that, and the other. That kinda happened, I got some things done! The majority of things didn't go as planned.  A lot of it had to do with my mood, my moods were  everywhere; so, I decided that I just wanted to work on my mental health (staying at home can do a job on your mind). I had a lot of reflective tim

My Winter Faves in Beauty, Skin Care, and Accessories!

Hello, Dolls Here are my latest winter favorites that I've been loving and using consistently! Murad Acne Clarifying Cleanser : I got this deluxe sample in one of my Ipsy bags; I took it with me on my last trip since it's the perfect size for my carry on. I still have adult acne, and the occasional flare ups. In just my first day of using this cleanser, it dried out my acne and eliminated several whiteheads that I had. I'm impressed with how quickly it works, and I plan on buying the full size. I'm happy with my African Black soap cleanser; but, I plan to use this cleanser when I have acne, or feel a breakout coming. The Balm Batter Up Eyeshadow Sticks: From left to right: Night Game, Dug Out, Shut Out, and Slugger One of my beauty goals is to wear eyeshadow daily; on some days, I don't have time to get my brushes out, apply primer, apply shadow, blend and etc. These shadow sticks eliminate those steps; all I do is glide it on my lid

Vintage Glam! OOTN (Outfit of the Night)

Hello, Glamour Dolls Can you believe it's 2020?! How is this year starting off for you? 2020 started off rocky for me; I was in a funk for a little while. With the help of rest, alone time, and determination, I was able to snap out of it. When I'm in a funk, my wardrobe is basic, just a top and pants. No makeup or accessories, just plain. That's why I'm really excited about this outfit of the night because it was the best I had looked in a while lol. I love accessories; so I loved adding the faux fur collar and hat (it was even better that they matched). My newest accessory obsession is brooches; I wanted to add some sparkle to this outfit, so, I added the brooch. It came out to be a vintage glam vibe! I learned that if you can't decide on a necklace, add a faux fur scarf; it will elevate your outfit from ordinary to chic. Plus, it will keep you warm! All the outfit deets and the direct purchasing links are at the bottom! What I'm wearing... -Panam
