Beauty and Lifestyle Travel Essentials

Traveling creates opportunities to pack just enough of your essentials or either over pack. When it comes to beauty and lifestyle items, I tend to lean on the over packing side because I love having options to chose from. Here are a few of my must-have essentials that I pack for all of my trips (except weekend getaways). I guess you could also file these under the "if you're ever stranded on a desert island, what would you have to have" category. Clarisonic Mia 2  Nothing is as good as washing and exfoliating my face as my Clarisonic Mia 2. I love it! My face feels the difference every time I wash, it gives a deep but gentle clean, removes every trace of makeup and leaves my skin soft and radiant. My Mia 2 has been kicking for years and it's on it's last leg, so; I upgraded to the Mia 3. Baby Wipes  I've been using baby wipes for years to remove my makeup. They are less inexpensive than makeup wipes and you get more for your money. I can easily ge...

Pink Bordello (LOTD)

I'm back with another look! I decided to do a look using mostly products that I recently hauled in the last few months, besides four products; everything mentioned was recently purchased.  I'm seriously trying to use everything I buy. I was inspired by the pink blouse I was wearing and I decided to use Urban Decay's Bordello (pale mauve with gold micro-glitter) eyeshadow as my main color, it came out being a melange of a pink frosty look. I was feeling extra, so I wore some lashes! Take a look for yourself :-) Products Used Brows -Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in Auburn -Mac Select Cover Up concealer NC45 to clean up brows Eyes -Lorac Behind the Scenes eyeshadow primer -Lorac Nectar e/s as highlight -Lorac Light Brown e/s as transition color -Lorac Cool Gray e/s as crease color -Urban Decay Bordello e/s on lid -Maybelline Ultra Liner black liquid liner on upper lash line -Wink and Pout Baby Doll lashes by Kym Lee -Eylure Lashfix...

My Latest Haul: Urban Decay, Too Faced, Lorac and more!

Hey Dolls! I have got to do so much better, these sporadic posts are for the birds. I did a nice lil haul for myself last month. I haven't purchased makeup since The Makeup Show (that was all for my professional makeup kit) so; I guess a haul for myself was long overdue. My hauls have no rhyme or reason, I just buy because of sales, my moods and the pretty colors! Here are the deets: Urban Decay and Too Faced Cosmetics Ulta had their 21 days of beauty sale last month. I had been eyeing the Urban Decay Shadow Box, I purchased it for a little over $30. It comes with 12 shades, 11 shimmer and 1 matte shade. Urban Decay shadows have never disappointed me and neither does this palette. It's small, so it will be great for traveling. The color ranges are good for creating a neutral, colorful or smokey eye. I also received a mini sample of the Urban Decay Perversion mascara, not bad at all. Ulta had a deal that if you by $50 in product, you cold get a free Too Faced mi...

My Mac, NYX, Sugar Pill, Urban Decay & More Haul!

Hello All, Here is my latest makeup and beauty haul. I took advantage of some of the Black Friday sales and bought a few things. Read on for the deets! Nyx Eyeshadow Nyx had a really nice sale on their site last month. They had shadows for $1 and lip liners for $2. I have several eyeshadow palettes for my makeup kit but I wanted more neutral shades. I bought eight shadows all total, mostly neutrals and a few colorful shades for the kit. I also bought their taupe blush, I heard that it is a really good contour color for light and fair complexions. Swatches from left to right: Taupe blush, golden, irises, dark brown, hot pink, silk, hunter green, taupe e/s and walnut.  Mac Studio Conceal and Correct Palette I have also been needing a decent concealer palette for my makeup kit as well. I have individual concealers in darker colors but I needed some concealers in the medium range as well as color correctors. I chose to purchase the Mac medium/deep conceal and correc...

The Newest Addition to my eyeshadow collection!!!

Hey, Dolls! The newest addition to my eyeshadow collection is... The NAKED 2 palette!!! I haven't entered a blog giveaway in a long time and the first one I enter, I end up a winner :-) I won this fabulous palette in a giveaway from the beautifully, talented Trina from Trina J Makeup . Trina offers some of the best beauty and product knowledge in her videos and on her blog. All of her expertise comes from first hand experience, she's worked at several makeup companies and she currently works as a freelance makeup artist. Check out her Blog , Twitter page & You Tube channel and be sure to follow! Naked 1 on the left, Naked 2 on the right The Naked palette 2 features 12 neutral shades, a duo eyeshadow brush and a lip gloss.  I thought the 12 colors would be very similar to the original Naked palette, but; I swatched both palettes and the shades are different in each palette...in my opinion. All of the shades are perfect fo...

Update & My Current Beauty Faves

Hey, Glamour Dolls! How are you all?! Long time no post...it feels good to finally write something on here. What's been going on with me? Just life. I've been busy and focused on a few things; which has been leaving me drained and given me a lack of desire to do anything else. Things have been all work and no play for a while and I'm finally getting my balance back again (sigh of relief!). Thankfully, I go on vacation in a few weeks. I hope to write a few more posts before I leave :-) As far as beauty news, I have been using products in my own stash-I have bought a few things here and there and I did purchase a big haul from a Mac Pro class I took the beginning of October (more about that in another post). Here are some of my faves that I've been using constantly using since the last time I posted. KISSABLE COUTURE GLOSSES I bought these glosses at The Makeup Show back in May and I've been loving them every since. The glosses are really long wea...
