“Your body can stand almost anything. It’s your mind that you have to convince.”
Hi Dolls,
I've wrote about my overall well-being journey before and how it's an ongoing journey for me. Today, I will talk about the physical aspect of that journey. I’ve recommitted to my healthy lifestyle journey, (again) I’ve reflected on the above quote a lot. I’ve been back and forth on this journey since 2021, and (honestly) this is the most consistent that I’ve been and the most weight that I’ve loss. I really feel like this time I'm more determined, and I know my "why" reason for recommitting and staying on this journey.
So, what’s been helping me:
- Tracking all of my food, I use my Weight Watchers app for this.
- Portion control, I limit myself to one portion
- Walking, whether it’s cardio or a brisk walk
- Eating intentionally, I no longer eat to pass time, or just because food is there.
I will admit, this is not always easy. As I type this, I'm craving a soda now (my weakness). It takes a lot of discipline, self control and balance, but the results (for me) are priceless. If you’re thinking about starting this journey, do it. If you’re already on this journey, keep going. It’s worth it.
If you are on a similar journey, I’d love to hear any suggestions or tips. Please share.
