Eyeshadow Haul....

Hey, Dolls! I've been hauling again, the last two months I picked up some new eyeshadow palettes that were on sale and a couple of pigments. If I never buy another eyeshadow or pigment ever again, I will be set for life but yet I keep on buying... (shrugs) I can't resist a sale or a brightly, pigmented eyeshadow. Here's what I bought... COASTAL SCENTS CREATIVE ME PALETTE #1 Every now and then Coastal Scents will have a really good sale on palettes and they were offering this palette for $7.95 each, it's regularly $14.95. The Creative Me #1 palette consists of 12 matte shades, the shades are good for those who love brightly colored looks. I have a friend who is also a MUA and she's used this palette before on photo shoots...she said it worked really well. I bought two, one for myself and one for my kit. I swatched all 12 shades. The first row is kinda iffy, the shades don't swatch that well  and their chalky (you'll definitely need a white base...

Fave 5 of 2011!

Hey, Glamour Dolls It's that time of year, another year almost gone and a new one coming in!  I don't do a monthly "faves" posts like a lot of Bloggers, but; these are my top products that I've been loving in 2011. I did a post like this last year (read HERE ) and really, not much has changed. I still use most of my top products from last year... here are some faves-old and new. WET N WILD EYESHADOW PALETTES Every year I've been loving Wet n Wild palette's more and more... the pigmentation, color choices and the prices won me over! I use these palettes when I want a quick look and don't want to think about what colors to put together. They make some of the best mattes shadows. I really don't have to go in to much detail about these palettes, everyone should know how fabulous they are by now! I own 10 of their palettes. I must say one of the beauty highlights of my year was when I found the limited edition I heart Matte palette at Walgree...

Wet n Wild Silent Treatment (LOTD)

This is a look I did a few days ago, using all the colors from the Silent Treatment Wet n Wild palette that I won! I really like the palette, but; I don't know how I feel about my entire look...you know how we are our own worst critic?! I love wearing lashes now and I'm just now learning that as much as you love a pair of lashes you can only wear them about 4 times. I really love my Miss Adoro 415 lashes, I wore them so much that they look a mess, I had to throw them away-thankfully, I bought an extra pair :-) Anywho, here is the look... Brightspots in my Day... (Look what I won!)

Hello Glamour Dolls, I am back in stride, my vacation was relaxing and I caught up on a lot of rest and just enjoyed some of the simple things in life. Before I left, I won an awesome giveaway by Donna at Lovin' All Things Fab ! Donna is always busy but still has time for one of her passions...beauty. She inspires me because her makeup (FOTD's) always looks fierce no matter what's happening! She has that sincere, down to earth personality that you can relate with... when you get the chance, visit her blog and You Tube channel. Check out the goods! SUGARPILL EYESHADOW IN BULLETPROOF I don't know how long I've been wanting to try Sugarpill's eyeshadows but it's been a very long time, I was so happy to see this in my package...it's a matte black shadow. WET N WILD PALETTES Both palettes are new to the Wild and Wild collection, I'm a big fan of Wet n Wild and I really wanted to pick up a few more of their items but haven't been...

My Summer Beauty Routine...

Hi Glamour Dolls! I'm loving the warmer temperatures and all of the cute clothes and accessories that summer brings but as much as I love the warmer weather the heat and perspiration causes me to simplify my beauty routine.  Here is my simplified beauty regimen and a few of my most loved products for this time of year. SKIN FIXERS  From left to right: Mac Fix Plus, Mac Oil Control lotion and Avon Blot sheets... To combat the extra oil my skin produces in the summer I apply Mac Oil Control lotion every day to reduce the oil on my skin. I apply a lot around my nose and forehead because this is where I retain the most oil. To get rid of the midday shine I use Avon Oil blotting sheets. I love these sheets because they take away the shine without ruining my makeup. I also use my beloved Mac Fix Plus to refresh my skin for those humid and sticky days. FOUNDATION I really don't wear foundation in the summer a lot unless I'm making a special appearance or ...

Blue Had Me at Hello Look of the Day

I've had this Wet and Wild palette since last November and never used it, I took it out last night and started playing with it... it's an 8 pan palette but I used all of the colors on the right side. This is my favorite Wet n Wild palette, the turquoise is so beautiful. I love turquoise eyeshadow, it's almost a rival for my Inglot turquoise shadow. I had fun doing this look, it got me excited about makeup again. I was feeling blaze' about it for a while... The camera does this lip tar NO justice, it's a gorgeous neon pink. I used all of the colors on the right. Wet n Wild "Greed" Look of the Day

This is the 4th and final look of the day using the Wet n Wild 6 pan palette series. This palette has beige, peachy, gray and black colors. I wanted to do a cut crease with the eyes because I haven't done a cut crease look in a while but it didn't turn out that way. I'll try another time :) For those who don't know what a cut crease is, click here .  I'm practicing more on contouring and highlighting... so, I did some subtle contouring and highlighting on my nose, cheeks and forehead. Hopefully, you'll be able to tell the difference. Hopefully you can see the cheek highlight and jaw contour in this pic. Eyes -Urban Decay primer potion as my eye base -matte beige color in my inner lid -matte peach color in my middle lid -matte black color in my outer lid and crease color -matte beige color above my crease -Mac Studio Finish concealer in NC42 as my highlight -Elf brow kit in medium -Ardell Sweetie lashes -L'oreal Lineur Inten...

Wet n Wild "Vanity" Look of the Day

This is the third look of the day featuring the Wet n Wild palettes that I've won from a blog contest. This is the Vanity palette. It consists of golds, browns and beige colors. This is the perfect palette for that every day neutral look. This is probably the most toned down palette out of the 4. I really like the colors. I'm practicing on applying false eye lashes on myself. I can apply them well on other people but when it comes to applying them on myself it's a different story. I struggled a bit with the lashes, but I got them on. I'll probably be wearing lashes in every LOTD (look of the day) until I become better at applying them on myself. Sorry, there are no close up pics... my skin broke out really bad for a while around my mouth and chin (sighs). It's finally getting back to normal. Eyes -Mac Painterly paint pot as an eye base -matte beige in the inner third of my eye lid -gold eyeshadow in the middle of my lid -matte brown in the outter third o...

Haul: Wet n Wild, Burts Bees, Sephora and more! (Pic Heavy)

I haven't done a haul in a while and since most of my IMATS purchases for next month will be for my kit, I figured I would pick up a couple of things for myself. My haul starts with Walgreens... can you guess what I wanted to buy there? Wet n Wild palettes! The nearest Walgreens is a little ways from where I live, but since I was in that area I decided to stop and browse. I picked up the Wet n Wild 8 pan palette in Blue Had me at Hello ($4.99), that was the only palette that I wanted because I love blue and green eyeshadows. I saw a few of the trio palettes there but I had most of the colors in other palettes-there was no need to buy duplicate colors. Blue Had me at Hello swatches... I also browsed Walgreens clearance rack and found Jordana lip liners on clearance for $1 each. I bought mauve and spice. Next up is Burt's Bees... I've never tried Burt's Bees but heard good reviews about their products. I was actually buying body butter for a friend who has s...
