Hello, Dolls! As you probably already know by now that Mac released an Aaliyah collection in the summer. I, for one, was elated! I have been an Aaliyah fan since I was young. I've always loved her music! I was enamored with her style- which was edgy and fly. Her style was the personification of tomboy chic, but she was always a lady. Her untimely death was shocking and hurtful to say the least. Nevertheless, I'm still an Aaliyah fan, and her music is always on rotation in my car and Ipod.  When I first heard rumors of there being a petition for Mac to create a  makeup collection for her, I was skeptical; but, after doing research, I found out that it was legit. I signed that petition back in 2016, (which reached over 26,000 signatures) and finally I heard news of the upcoming collection! Seeing that I'm a big Mac and Aaliyah fan, purchasing from this collection was a must! I knew before seeing it that I wanted to get everything; but, my bank account...

Hello Dolls, I am back, after a long hiatus! Life has been life...unpredictable but enjoyable. Even though, I haven't been posting about my latest beauty musings, I still keep up with the beauty world. Here's a small collection of some of the things that I've purchased. As I was purchasing, I realized that all of the products that I bought are all from black owned makeup businesses! Most of them I found out about on Instagram or from recommendations. If you didn't know, I'm a beauty and product junkie, and I will pretty much buy from anyone as long as I like the product, have a use for it, and if it's a decent price; but, I especially love to support black businesses, especially since there can be a shortage of them; and they often discontinue service for one reason or another. Hey, Dolls! The Makeup Show NYC was a blast, as always. For those who may not know, The Makeup Show is an annual trade show held in select cities for makeup professionals and the like to learn of new products, partake in workshops to perfect their craft and to also shop for beauty and makeup products with discounts up to 40% off. This year, I went on one day, which was Monday. It was still crowded but not as it normally is on Sunday. We arrived around noon time, so that gave us till 5 to shop, meet and mingle. Hello All, Here is my latest makeup and beauty haul. I took advantage of some of the Black Friday sales and bought a few things. Read on for the deets! Nyx Eyeshadow Nyx had a really nice sale on their site last month. They had shadows for $1 and lip liners for $2. I have several eyeshadow palettes for my makeup kit but I wanted more neutral shades. I bought eight shadows all total, mostly neutrals and a few colorful shades for the kit. I also bought their taupe blush, I heard that it is a really good contour color for light and fair complexions.
