Queen of Hearts Look of the Day!

Hello, Dolls I have been shopping from my makeup stash, (rediscovering products that I've had for a while, but don't use often) and I have fallen in love with the Coloured Raine: Queen of Hearts eyeshadow palette. The foil eyeshadows are so amazingly pigmented; and the shadows blend so effortlessly. I wondered why I haven't used it more. Most of the eyeshadows that I used in this look are from that palette. Here is a quick selfie pic of the look I did. Before I left for vacation, I was gifted some makeup from a friend. She gave me the Zoeva Mixed Metals palette, a few Zoeva blushes and a Tom Ford Cream color. Of course, after she gave it to me she told me that she wanted to see a makeup look that I created using the products. Pink Bordello (LOTD)

I'm back with another look! I decided to do a look using mostly products that I recently hauled in the last few months, besides four products; everything mentioned was recently purchased.  I'm seriously trying to use everything I buy. I was inspired by the pink blouse I was wearing and I decided to use Urban Decay's Bordello (pale mauve with gold micro-glitter) eyeshadow as my main color, it came out being a melange of a pink frosty look. I was feeling extra, so I wore some lashes! Take a look for yourself :-) Products Used Brows -Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade in Auburn -Mac Select Cover Up concealer NC45 to clean up brows Eyes -Lorac Behind the Scenes eyeshadow primer -Lorac Nectar e/s as highlight -Lorac Light Brown e/s as transition color -Lorac Cool Gray e/s as crease color -Urban Decay Bordello e/s on lid -Maybelline Ultra Liner black liquid liner on upper lash line -Wink and Pout Baby Doll lashes by Kym Lee -Eylure Lashfix...

Photo shoot Makeup (LOTD)

Hello Glamour Dolls! It has been some months since I posted, so much has been going on. I have done some traveling, still working full-time and I've been busy with my two side hustles. In the midst of everything, I have been keeping up with the beauty world, thanks to You Tube and Instagram. Recently, I did my first photo shoot last June and my second photo shoot I did a few weeks ago and it features...yours truly. Here is the makeup that I did on myself for the shoot. Up the Amp LOTD

This is a LOTD I did last week, this is the first time that I've worn a full face of makeup in a month...I've been either to tired or haven't had enough time. The look is nothing special, I just used a few Makeup Forever shadows that I rarely used and I used the new Glorify highlighting powder from Mac, it gives a beautiful highlight and a bronze glow to the skin. I also used my recently hauled Up the Amp lipstick. The Glorify highlighting powder is so pretty! Viva Glam Nicki Lip of the Day

Hey, Glamour Dolls! I am back with my lip of the day that I promised... this is how Mac Viva Glam Nicki lipstick looks on my skin. I cannot wear this lipstick alone, it looks really pasty, which is a huge makeup "don't" for me. I will advise to please exfoliate your lips before applying it, any dead skin will show up in the application. It's a pretty yellow-based pink...I think the yellow base makes it so eye catching. I pair it with a my Nyx chestnut liner (any brown lip liner will do), it mutes the pink down and eliminates the pasty look...I love how it turns out. This is definitely a brown-girl friendly shade and really all of the Viva Glam lipsticks are made to compliment any skin tone, if you don't already have it-you should get it. As always, the $14.50 from the Viva Glam lippies goes to supporting Aid's victims, buying a tube is a win-win situation.   Do you own Viva Nicki? How do you like it?

A Bulletproof Sin LOTD

Catchy title? Sugarpill's Bulletproof eyeshadow and Urban Decay's Sin eyeshadow were two of the main colors that I used on my lid. It seems like I've been stuck on neutral looks for so long, the Urban Decay Naked palette makes it so easy. Here is a neutral silver and brownish look I did using the Naked 1 palette. I have a love-hate with lashes, this time the lashes were on point...practice makes perfect. To enlarge, click the pic. Purple Flash LOTD

This is a look I did a while ago, I received so many compliments on it but it doesn't photograph nearly as well as it looked (sighs). Copper Sparkle LOTD

One of the makeup trends for this winter season is metallic eyes and red lips. I voted in my poll on the top right side of my blog, that I was going to try both trends (metallic eyes and red lips). This look is starring the beautiful frost copper sparkle pigment. Since the pigment is very sparkly and has copper flecks in it, I kept the browbone and crease area very neutral and subdued. Here's the look. PRODUCTS USED Eyes -Elf brow kit in medium -Urban Decay primer potion -Mac Copper Sparkle pigment on lid -Mac Texture e/s in crease -Mac Studio Finish concealer NC45 as highlight -L'oreal Double Extend illuminator mascara in black quartz -Black Radiance creme liner in black -Mac Engraved powerpoint eye pencil on top & bottom lashlines Face -Black Opal Cream to Powder foundation in Heavenly Honey -Bobbi Brown peach corrector under eyes -Mac Gingerly blush -Mac Blunt blush to contour Lips -Avon glimmersticks lip liner in red brick -...

Here is a look I did yesterday using my Naked 1 palette that I won last month! This is a natural eye look, using three shadows with a pink lip (I know... Wet n Wild Silent Treatment (LOTD)

This is a look I did a few days ago, using all the colors from the Silent Treatment Wet n Wild palette that I won! I really like the palette, but; I don't know how I feel about my entire look...you know how we are our own worst critic?! I love wearing lashes now and I'm just now learning that as much as you love a pair of lashes you can only wear them about 4 times. I really love my Miss Adoro 415 lashes, I wore them so much that they look a mess, I had to throw them away-thankfully, I bought an extra pair :-) Anywho, here is the look... I'm experimenting with photo editing! PRODUCTS USED Eyes -Avon glimmersticks brow definer dark brown -Elf eyelid primer -pink e/s on browbone as highlight -matte brown e/s from the Wet n Wild Vanity palette as a transition color -lilac puple e/s on lid -black e/s in crease -Black Radiance creme liner in black on upper lashline -Mac Engraved powerpoint pencil eyeliner on lower lashline -Miss Ad...

Accidentally Neutral LOTD

I went out a few days ago and a friend asked me to do a full face of makeup...I wasn't feeling the best but she talked me into it and I did it for her. The colors I used were a sheer pink e/s on my lid and brown in my crease...it didn't turn out the way I wanted, so; I kept blending and this is what I came up with... a neutral eye. I will do the original look over. I was in SO much pain in this pic, I still managed to smile :-) PRODUCTS USED Eyes -Elf e/s primer -no name sheer pink e/s on lid -no name brown e/s on crease -no name beige e/s as eye highlight -Elf plum liquid liner -L'oreal Voluminous mascara in black -Mac Engraved powerpoint eyeliner Face -Mac Prep + Prime face -Mac Select Cover up Concealer NC45 -Bobbi Brown corrector in Peach -Mac Studio Fix plus powder foundation C6 -Black Radiance warm berry baked blush Lips -NYX chestnut liner -Mac Viva Glam Gaga lipstick I More LOTD's to come!

Lost LOTD's

I've been wearing minimal makeup lately and haven't had a chance to photograph a LOTD, but; I did find some old  LOTD's in my pictures that I didn't post for one reason or another. Here are a few, some are really old. I'll try to describe what I was wearing the best than I can :) LOOK #1 I did this look early in the year, the shadows that I used is one of my "go-to" eyeshadow combos when I'm in a hurry. I wore Mac Antiqued, Embark and Blanc Type eyeshadows...all three shadows compliment any skin tone. Look #1 LOOK #2 This is the makeup I wear to work when I feel like applying it... it consists of concealer, powder, mascara and my beloved Viva Glam Gaga 1 lipstick. I love that lipstick SO much! I should have bought two when I had the chance. Look #2 -Workplace makeup LOOK #3 This is my most recent look, I was going out that day and wanted to wear a full face of makeup. I had on my usual concealer and powder, Urban D...

Jill Scott's Block Party Concert... Plus Mini Look of the Day!

Hey Glamour Dolls, It feels like a while that I've posted, I've been busy with an important project that's been taking up my time both mentally and physically...that explains the lack of posts, but; I did manage to have some much needed fun this past weekend at Jill Scott's Block Party Concert! I saw Jill Scott last year with Maxwell and she was great but this year she was AMAZING! She's a great performer! Such raw talent and fantastic voice. Her Block Party included Mint Condition, Anthony Hamilton, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Doug E. Fresh... the concert had an old school, neo soul and r'b feel.  The concert was not that far from where I live at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Here are the pics! Getting ready! Mint Condition Doug E. Fresh DJ Jazzy Jeff, I've always loved him since Fresh Prince of Bel Air-lol! Anthony Hamilton and his backup singers, singing one of my fave songs- "The Point of...

This is a LOTD I did using my L'oreal Hip Metallic eyeshadow duos...I bought Milani Mandarina lipstick a while ago and I wanted to include it in this look. Here it is... Blue Had Me at Hello Look of the Day

I've had this Wet and Wild palette since last November and never used it, I took it out last night and started playing with it... it's an 8 pan palette but I used all of the colors on the right side. This is my favorite Wet n Wild palette, the turquoise is so beautiful. I love turquoise eyeshadow, it's almost a rival for my Inglot turquoise shadow. I had fun doing this look, it got me excited about makeup again. I was feeling blaze' about it for a while... The camera does this lip tar NO justice, it's a gorgeous neon pink. I used all of the colors on the right. Surfs Up! Look of the Day

This is the LOTD that I did using the Sun Blonde eyeshadow, My Paradise cheek powder and the Hibiscus lipstick from the Mac Surf Baby collection. I kept the eyes simple because I wanted everyone to be able to see the true color of the Sun Blonde eyeshadow... since the eyes were simple, I added lashes to give it some extra glam. Yesterday was one of those days that I wasn't feeling my hair, brows, skin or pictures... so I'm only including a few pics... (sighs). PRODUCTS USED EYES -Mac Painterly paint pot as eye base -Mac Ricepaper shadow as highlight -Mac Saddle shadow in crease -Mac Sun Blonde shadow on lid -Mac Engraved power point pencil on lashline -L'oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner -Red Cherry #1 lashes FACE -Black Opal Truly Topaz creme stick foundation -Mac Studio Fix C6 powder -Mac My Paradise cheek powder blush LIPS -Nyx Natural lip liner -Mac Hibiscus lip stick

Girl About Town Look of the Day

Hey Glamour Dolls, Here is a recent LOTD, this was the first time that I've done a full face of makeup (minus the brows, didn't have time for them) in a few weeks... I missed it so much. I feel like I'm a bit rusty but I'm getting back into the swing of things. I've had Mac Girl About Town lipstick for years and always thought it was to bold to wear but I decided to wear it yesterday and I loved the color! I can't believe I didn't wear it for so long.
