Beauty Favorites of 2020!

Hello, Glamour Dolls I hope 2021 is starting off well for all of you! Today, I'm sharing my favorite beauty products of 2020. I spent the most of 2020 at home, but it did give me some time to play with beauty products. Here are my top four products. 💫⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Perfume: Being at home didn’t stop me from wearing fragrances, I started wearing it around the house and even to bed. YSL Libre is my favorite scent right now; I couldn’t find it in time to take this pic. My next favorite is Gabrielle Chanel. It’s my name, 😊 and it’s light and soft. ⁣If you like soft florals, you may like Gabrielle Chanel.  ⁣ 🤎 Lashes: I didn’t go many places in 2020, but when I did, I did a full beat. Any lashes that have volume and glam, I’ll wear it. I recently fell in love with mink lashes. I have a few on my list that I’m going to try, but what’s a few more?! Leave me any recommendations in the comments. 😉⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Foundation: This was my go to foundation all year....

My Top Beauty Products of 2010

Thanks to everyone who voted in this poll, the majority voted that "yes," I should do a post on my top beauty products of 2010. Foundation for WOC (Women of Color) Revisited Part I

A while ago back in March I did a post on " Foundation for WOC ." In the post I referenced the April edition of Essence magazine. It was a foundation special in that article for women of color on pages 48-54. From March until now that particular post is my most viewed post according to Blogger stats. Since I featured general information in that post, I wanted to revisit the topic again with more detailed information. This will be a 2 part post. The first post will be on debunking the myths a lot of women have about foundation (not just women of color) and the second post will be foundation recommendations that have been proven to work well.  *The term WOC (women of color) includes but not limited to African American, Indian, Latino, Filipino and Hispanic women.* FOUNDATION MYTHS 1. Foundation will cause my skin to breakout - A. Before trying foundation it helps to know your skin type first! If your skin is oily you wouldn't want to purchase an oil-based foundati...

Foundation for WOC (Women of Color)

I'm an avid LOVER and subscriber to Essence magazine! This month's (April 2010) issue has a beauty special on the best foundation for Women of Color. It highlights many of the most concerned foundation topics: -skin concerns (avoiding breakouts, not looking heavily made up) -how to pick the best formula for your skin type and your needed coverage -how to make your foundation last throughout the day -the proper tools to apply your foundation -special effect foundations that help with blemishes and anti-aging foundation The article also lists the foundations and prices that will work best for your budget and skin. I haven't seen a more detailed article about foundation for women of color ever, so this article is definitely worth reading! If you've liked reading this article in Essence magazine-they have a monthly beauty section covering skin, hair and makeup exclusively for women of color.
