Eyeshadow Haul....

Hey, Dolls! I've been hauling again, the last two months I picked up some new eyeshadow palettes that were on sale and a couple of pigments. If I never buy another eyeshadow or pigment ever again, I will be set for life but yet I keep on buying... (shrugs) I can't resist a sale or a brightly, pigmented eyeshadow. Here's what I bought... COASTAL SCENTS CREATIVE ME PALETTE #1 Every now and then Coastal Scents will have a really good sale on palettes and they were offering this palette for $7.95 each, it's regularly $14.95. The Creative Me #1 palette consists of 12 matte shades, the shades are good for those who love brightly colored looks. I have a friend who is also a MUA and she's used this palette before on photo shoots...she said it worked really well. I bought two, one for myself and one for my kit. I swatched all 12 shades. The first row is kinda iffy, the shades don't swatch that well  and their chalky (you'll definitely need a white base...

What's in my Kit? (Eyeshadows)

A good majority of my followers are makeup artists or aspiring makeup artists and part of the makeup I buy is for my makeup artistry kit, so... each month I will feature a few items that I use in my professional makeup artistry kit for clients-hopefully this will give artists (both professional and aspiring) a good idea of what products work and what doesn't work. These are the eyeshadows that I use in my kit. I thought it would be cost effective to purchase eyeshadow palettes and it also saves space. COASTAL SCENTS 88 PALETTE I think it's safe to say that this palette needs no introduction. The shadows are good to work with, they're pigmented and the palette offers a wide range of colors, some of the colors can be chalky but I have so many eyeshadows in my collection I could really care less about a half a dozen shadows being chalky.  This palette was one of my first ever reviews on my blog. If you're interested in reading the review click HERE . 88 NEUTRAL PAL...

I'm back.... and Wedding Pics

I'm back from my vacation!!!! I had a great time. I'm still getting adjusted from the Caribbean weather to the Fall weather. I hope to post some pictures next week of my vacation. In the meantime I wanted to post some pictures of the wedding I did makeup for last month. The pictures are taken from Creative Village Collection Photography  http://www.creativevillagecollection.blogspot.com . Their blog can be found on the blog roll on the right.  The Flower girl, my first time doing children's makeup. She wanted eyeshadow and lipstick.  Eyes and Brows For the eyes I used Woodwinked (brownish-gold) Saddle (light brown) Blanc Type (beige) eyeshadows. All from Mac For foundation I used Graftobian HD creme foundation and Elf pressed powder. The final look :)  On her cheeks I used Elf's Pink Passion blush, nude lip liner and a pretty pink color from my Kryolan lip palette. Bridesmaid She wanted a very simple, light look with a pink eye and clear lip. S...

My #1 Eyeshadow Palette

Among the many eyeshadow palettes that I have which range from large to small in sizes-this is my FAVORITE palette. LOVE it! It's the Coastal Scents 88 palette. One of the great things about it is it's only $18.95. As you can see in the picture all of the shadows are very vibrant in color. They are dime-sized and the colors range from cool, warm to neutral shades. The shadows range in matte and shimmer finishes. I have numerous eye palettes from MAC, Sephora, Ben Nye, Wales and other brands but I reach for this palette every time I do eye makeup. I just did a wedding recently and was able to do the bride's and wedding party's eye makeup using this palette. They were amazed at the color ranges. This is a great palette for every day use to create any look or even special occasion makeup. It's only $18.95 for 88 shadows, so you're really only paying .21 cent for each shadow. Can you beat that?! This is a MUST-HAVE item in your makeup collection. It can be...
