Up the Amp LOTD

This is a LOTD I did last week, this is the first time that I've worn a full face of makeup in a month...I've been either to tired or haven't had enough time. The look is nothing special, I just used a few Makeup Forever shadows that I rarely used and I used the new Glorify highlighting powder from Mac, it gives a beautiful highlight and a bronze glow to the skin. I also used my recently hauled Up the Amp lipstick. The Glorify highlighting powder is so pretty! My Summer Beauty Routine...

Hi Glamour Dolls! I'm loving the warmer temperatures and all of the cute clothes and accessories that summer brings but as much as I love the warmer weather the heat and perspiration causes me to simplify my beauty routine.  Here is my simplified beauty regimen and a few of my most loved products for this time of year. SKIN FIXERS  From left to right: Mac Fix Plus, Mac Oil Control lotion and Avon Blot sheets... To combat the extra oil my skin produces in the summer I apply Mac Oil Control lotion every day to reduce the oil on my skin. I apply a lot around my nose and forehead because this is where I retain the most oil. To get rid of the midday shine I use Avon Oil blotting sheets. I love these sheets because they take away the shine without ruining my makeup. I also use my beloved Mac Fix Plus to refresh my skin for those humid and sticky days. FOUNDATION I really don't wear foundation in the summer a lot unless I'm making a special appearance or ...

Blue Had Me at Hello Look of the Day

I've had this Wet and Wild palette since last November and never used it, I took it out last night and started playing with it... it's an 8 pan palette but I used all of the colors on the right side. This is my favorite Wet n Wild palette, the turquoise is so beautiful. I love turquoise eyeshadow, it's almost a rival for my Inglot turquoise shadow. I had fun doing this look, it got me excited about makeup again. I was feeling blaze' about it for a while... The camera does this lip tar NO justice, it's a gorgeous neon pink. I used all of the colors on the right. PRODUCTS USED Eyes -Elf brow kit medium -Mac Rubenesque paint pot as eye base -Ice blue e/s as highlight -Turquoise e/s on lid -Dark blue e/s in crease -Black e/s in crease to deepen -Mac Engraved power point eyeliner -L'oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner -Red Cherry #1 lashes Face -Mufe HD Invisible foundation #173 -Mufe HD concealer #360 -Mufe HD Invisible powder -Ma...

Think Pink-Look of the Day

It's been a while since I've done a "real" LOTD... my brows finally grew back in and look descent so I'm back to my normal makeup routine. This is a look I did on Sunday, it was inspired by my pink wrap-dress, so I decided to stay with the pink theme. I was going to wear lashes but I was running  late... I'll wear them for my next look. PRODUCTS USED Eyes -Elf brow kit in medium -Mac Painterly paint pot -Bslap cosmetics hot pink eyeshadow on my lid -Mac Saddle eyeshadow as crease color -Mac Ricepaper eyeshadow as highlight color -Urban Decay  24/7 glide on eye liner in zero -Maybelline Falsies mascara Face -MUFE HD Foundation in 173 -MUFE HD Invisible powder -Elf Pink Passion blush Lips -Mac Nightmoth lip liner -Mac Viva Gaga lipstick

Makeup Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation Review

Makeup Forever's HD foundation is another foundation that I frequently wear. I promised a review on this foundation (I know it's late) so here it is... Product Claims "An oil-free medium-to-full-coverage liquid foundation that covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible on-screen and in real life. This foundation creates a soft-focus effect, which is designed to meet the coverage concerns of those in the spotlight. It leaves your complexion with such a flawless finish, it can withstand bright or harsh lighting. Pros   - It leaves skin beautifully flawless! -Great for photography, (no white haze) especially great for weddings, photo shoots or tv production. -Available in 25 shades. -Available in a variety of undertones including: olive, beige, pink and yellow. -It feels very light on your face. -A little goes a long way. -Light to medium coverage. -No harsh lines,  this is good if you forget to blend past the perimeter of your face...

IMATS: The Haul (Pic Heavy) Part II

I'm back with Part II of my IMATS experience. Although I was very excited about Inglot and OCC, I did purchase some other items. Here they are... MISS ADORO LASHES I intended on purchasing some lashes at the show. I heard that at the Los Angelas IMATS last year, the Miss Adoro lashes were $1, so I was excited when I saw them at IMATS. They were 12 for $24, which is $2 for each pair. I've learned that is better to buy lashes in bulk than paying almost $5 for them individually. I really like the different styles and lengths of these lashes, they're comparable to Red Cherry lashes. I had a set of 12 but my mother wanted to try 1 pair :) Good thing we bought these early on in the day on Saturday because they sold out by the end of the day. NIGEL'S BEAUTY EMPORIUM My next stop was Nigel's Beauty Emporium , they have all kinds of makeup tools and supplies for personal use and for using in your professional makeup kit. I hadn't planned on buying an...

Lavender and Violet Look of the Day

I have a half a dozen Makeup For Ever shadows that I haven't even worn yet plus I have tons of pigments that I hardly use and are literally collecting dust, so I thought I would do a look featuring my "not frequently used" pigments and shadows. I completely forgot how much I love pigments, I'm going to use them more often! I have small eyes and because of that I normally line my lower lash line two thirds of the way, whenever I line my full lower lash line with black liner it makes my eyes look smaller. PRODUCTS USED Eyes -Mac Painterly paint pot as a base -Mac Quietly pigment (limited edition-lavender color) on the inner half of my lid -Mufe #92 brilliant matte purple eyeshadow outer half of my lid -Mac Saddle (golden orange-brown) as a crease color -Mac NC 45 Studio Finish concealer as a highlight -Elf Waterproof eyeliner in black on upper lash line -Avon Mark eyeliner on lower lash line in black -L'oreal Voluminous Curl mascara in black/bro...

Look of the Day-Feeling Blue... but I wore Red!

I did this look yesterday. I wasn't feeling in the best mood yesterday and whenever I don't feel good- I wear the color red... to me it's better than wearing black or blue when I'm down and since I couldn't wear my red dress, I had to settle for red lipstick.  I was rushing when I did this look (I forgot to put on mascara) and I intended it to be very simple... and it was. Products Used I used the 2 beige colors in my 88 neutral palette. FACE -Makeup for Ever Invisible HD foundation in 173 -Elf Candid Coral blush on apples of my cheeks EYES -shimmer beige color from the 88 neutral palette on my lid -matte beige color from the 88 neutral palette as my highlight -Mac Painterly paint pot as my eye base -Mac Engraved power point pencil as eye liner -Elf brow kit in medium (not pictured) LIPS -Loreal Infallible lip color: Beyonce Red

November Makeup Haul-Eyes

I did a pretty decently sized makeup haul in November. I usually don't buy this much makeup in a month but... again I wanted to purchase makeup from a few brands that I've been meaning to try for years, yes...years! Also, I will be budgeting my money more for the month of December and the next few months, so makeup purchases will have to take a break for a while...at least until the Spring, we'll see :) Anyway, this will be a 2 part post because I didn't want to cram everything I bought into 1 post. This post will be eye makeup purchases and the second post will be lips, cheeks and brushes. BSLAP COSMETICS CUSTOM PALETTE I've been meaning to try Bslap cosmetics for years now, every since I saw the eyeshadow paint wheels on you tube. The palette was $20 and you get to your 5 desired colors. I got yellow, orange, bright pink,  purple and bright blue. The colors are pigmented. The orange and bright blue are amazingly pigmented. I think the bright blue is my ...
