NOTD: Electric Blue Stiletto Nails

Hey, Dolls A while ago I did a post about nail trends that I wanted to try for myself, one of them being the stiletto nails. I found a picture of the shape I wanted and it took it to my nail technician...I've been wearing the stiletto nails every since. This time, the salon had colored powders and colored glitter that you apply as polish and then they put the overlay on top. I chose an electric blue powder with a glittery color. I love how it came out. I think I like the colored powders better than the polishes, it seems that the powders have a lot more color variety and the powders last a good while.

Nail Trends I'm Loving....

I've always admired nail art, I always believe that well manicured, polished nails can enhance a woman's look and put the finishing touches to a chic outfit...especially when the hands are accompanied by beautiful hand jewelry. This year, there have been two nail trends that I've been in love with and I decided copy.  ACCENT NAILS The typical design accent nail trend is not new, there are plenty of women who get designs on any given nail(s) or even all of their nails, but; what is new is the the color blocking accent nail trend that I love.  Recently, I've seen women who will have the majority of their nails polished one color and maybe one or two nails polished another color on the opposite end of the color spectrum...it seems odd at first, but; it turns out beautiful. This is a great alternative for women who want a different look, but not necessarily a design...especially if you work in a conservative work environment.  Color blocking accent nail......

Mosiac Effects NOTD (Nails of the Day)

By now, I'm sure everyone is familar with the Crackle craze, there have been plenty of other dupes like Crackle including the Shatter and now, I fell in love with another dupe by Avon ... it's the Mosiac Effects polish. I bought it from my Avon rep, it was on sale for $3.99 but the regular price is $6.00 ( a few dollars cheaper than crackle). You apply it the same as Crackle, you pick a base color, let it dry and apply a coat of the mosiac top coat to your nails and then watch it transform. I love watching the designs form :-) I apply a clear top coat and then I'm done. I get gel overlays over my own nails and I took it to the shop and let the nail technician use it and this is how it came out looking. I've used it on my toe nails, but; it doesn't come out as well, it applies really thick for some reason. If you're looking for an inexpensive version of Crackle, the Mosiac Effects is worth a shot, the only down side is that it only comes in...
