Sweater Dress Szn ~ Outfit of the Day!

It's sweater dress season! I wore them when I was younger, but got away from them. I found this one on Amazon, and I was reminded of why I love them: -They can be dressed up and down.  -They're very versatile; they're perfect for the office with a cardigan or blazer, and they can be worn by itself with heels and a cape for a night out. -They're comfortable and figure flattering.  If you're looking for sweater dress ideas, I've linked this one and others under "Fall Fashion Finds" on my Amazon storefront , and also on my Liketoknow.it shop .  What I'm wearing: Sweater Dress + Earrings: Amazon Fashion Bag: Shein Heels: Fashion Nova What's a staple in your closet?

Finding My Way Back-Outfit of the Day!

Hello, Dolls! Happy December! I hope you all are doing fine!  Lately, as far as fashion is concerned, I've been uninspired to create anything. Hence, the title of this post, "finding my way back." My lack of inspiration is a combination of a lot of things: stress, lack of motivation, no creativity, etc. I've decided to take a brief break; and then come back with some new content, and hopefully, new creativity. In the meantime, here's a look that I put together in October.  An easy poncho, vegan leather pants, and heeled boots are all stylish components for a fabulous Fall look. They all came together wonderfully in this outfit! Of course, I have to have my accessories. I couldn't wait to wear this quilted leather bag from Kate Spade. I got the bag from Uptown Cheapskate , it's my favorite thrift store! I like wearing ponchos loosely; but for this look, I wanted the fit and flare look. So, I added a vegan leather belt to cinch my waist.  What I'm Wear...

Fall Fashion Favorites!

Hello, Glamour Dolls! It's that time of the year for Fall Fashion; I can never get enough of it! I’ve listed a few of my Fall fashion essentials that will enhance any Fall look! ⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Fedora: Besides keeping your head warm from the cooler temps, fedoras are stylish and go well with Fall outfits. Did you know that all head and face shapes can wear a fedora? ⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Leopard Flats: Leopard is always in style, and leopard flats are a fashionable way to be comfortable. If you like to wear more neutrals and warm hues in the Fall, leopard will pair beautifully with it. These flats were $9 from  @walmartfashion .  ⁣ 🤎 Statement Earrings: You can never go wrong with statement earrings. When I wear statement earrings, I let the statement earrings steal the show by keeping my necklace simple. ⁣ ⁣ 🤎 Shades: I wear shades all year because the sun is always out, it’s my signature look, and they’re chic! I wore mostly cat eye and aviator shades in the Summer, I decided to switch up to over...

My inspiration flows from hip hop culture and the backdrop that is the DMV. Earth tone colors, such as, green, brown, reds, and oranges are a necessary part of attire. You can never go wrong with your neutral colors like grey and black. I like to start all my ense...

Hello, Dolls The limited edition Girl with Curves x Lane Bryant collection was released last month! Tanesha Awasthi, better known as  Girl With Curves , is a fellow beauty, style and lifestyle blogger that I have been following for years. She announced a few months ago that she was releasing a limited edition collection with Lane Bryant, and I couldn't be more excited for her!!! I have always admired her style, which is fashionable, tasteful and effortless. She features outfits that accentuates her beautiful curves without sacrificing class and modesty.  Her collection is described as " From cozy sweaters and capes elevated by luxe details, expertly pleated skirts, dresses and coats in deep navy and berry tones, floaty blouses and smart layering pieces, to the best fitting jeans you'll ever own, the collection is the perfect blend of classic style infused with a put-together-yet-practical aesthetic."  From the pictures on her  Instagram  profile, I kne...

Fall/Winter Fashion-Handbags!

I decided to switch up the Fall/Winter Fashion boots to handbags. I love handbags too among all the other things that I love. I have built up quite a collection from the last 2 years and because of that I haven't bought any new bags for a 1 whole year. Last month, I decided to treat myself to a new bag. This is my newest addition, it's the Coach Zoe handbag. All of the bags that I have from Coach are leather or patchwork, so I decided to get a signature bag this time. It's larger than it appears in the pics and very roomy and as with all Coach bags, they last a life time if you treat them right! I love saving money, so I try to find the best deals when shopping for bags- I purchased this one from the Coach factory. It was already marked off 50% at the outlet and I had a coupon for an additional 20%, it was a great bargain! Everyone has their particular items that they love to buy and handbags are one of my favorite things to purchase along with so many other things...

Thrifty Fall Fashion-Boots

I did a previous post about how much I love wearing boots, especially this time of the year when it's very cold. These are another of my favorite boots from my boot collection. I actually bought these from a Thrift store in my area. Believe it or not, I love shopping at Thrift stores. There really have GREAT deals from all sorts of designers. I mostly shop for clothing while I'm there but occasionally I do find shoes. These boots were gently used when I bought them and they couldn't have been no more than $8. I checked the inside tag and the boots are originally from Wet Seal. I never bought shoes from Wet Seal but I know they have some really cute clothes. As you can see they are brown, calf-length and pointed toed. I love pointed toed shoes... to me, pointed toed shoes are always fashionable. I wore them with a long skirt yesterday but they also look good with boot-cut jeans.

Fall Fashion -Boots

I'm not a fan of cold weather but I love Fall/Winter fashion. I have always loved boots every since I can remember. Every Fall season, I always buy at least 2 or 3 new pairs of boots. Here are my favorite shoe boots that I'm wearing now. I actually bought these last year at Bare Feet Shoes, but I really started wearing them this year. I was browsing Bare Feet shoes website today and they still have shoe boots like these in stock and under $35. They are cut-out, suede with a 2 inch stilletto heel. I love these because I can wear them with dresses, skirts and jeans and they always look good. I saw a couple of pairs of cute boots that I would like to get this week. Stay tuned for the next Fall Fashion post :)

Fall's Hautest Trends in...makeup, colors and clothes!!!

Fall is officially here... that means clothes, makeup and styles are changing (for those of us who live in a cooler climate this time of year) with the help of several fashion authorities I've put together a list of the trends, styles and must have items for Fall. What are the must-wear colors this fall season? Chocolate, black , gray and military green are Fall's hottest colors. The most popular pop of color to wear this season is... fuchsia . Top Fall Trends for Clothing and Accessories: 1. Layered Jewelry- Pile the pieces on! Wearing multiple necklaces and bracelets add glam to any outfit. Make sure to have 1 bold, statement piece of jewelry and layer it with other pieces. Statement jewelry can be purchased anywhere. I love Claire's and Icing for jewelry and my most favorite place to shop for statement jewelry is from my own personal website :) http://www.cookielee.biz/gabrieljones Statement Necklaces 2.
