My Summer Favorites in Beauty + Things that Make Me Happy!

Hello, Dolls I've curated a list of my current, most loved beauty items. My summer beauty routine has been very minimal due to the hot temperatures and humidity; the result is lots of perspiration and melted off makeup for me. I had planned to be bronzed and glowing for summer; now, I'm just hot and bothered! Below are a few products that are getting good use in my beauty product rotation. I'm also sharing a few things that make me happy-July was a very busy month for me- in between the busyness, I was mentally and emotionally down for the entire month. I had my moments of sulking, but, I decided this time to go back to doing the things that made me happy. I started back reading again, I finished so many books and started reading some new ones. I also started my Adult coloring again, I forgot just how soothing coloring is for me. Below I share one book that I'm currently enjoying and a few coloring books that I've been loving! Concert OOTD!

Hello Dolls, I attended a Trey Songz concert a week ago, the concert was everything!!! I'm a huge fan of Trey Songz; my sisters and I have to see him EVERY time he comes to town! I originally bought a black ruffle neck, off the shoulder jumpsuit to wear to the concert. It fitted smaller than I thought :-( At the very last minute, I had to wear something I already had. Below is what I put together! I originally meant for this post to be a look of the day, but, I wasn't able to get decent pics of my makeup like I wanted. Outfit and makeup deets at the bottom. Best Drugstore Beauty Buys

Ahh, the drugstore! It really has become a one stop shop for me for makeup, especially since I've been on a budget. I can always find something at the drugstore when I've forgotten my cosmetic bag and I've even replenished part of my makeup kit at the drugstore. I must browse the makeup aisle every time I visit CVS and Walgreens. Here are a few of my best purchases that are all under $10 each. MILANI I saw a friend with the Milani Infinite liquid eyeliner on, it was this same exact shade. It looked beautiful on her. I bought it for $8 at CVS. The color you see is exactly how it applies, it's very true to color. It glides on easy and it is waterproof, I swatched it on my hand and it doesn't budge. I had to wash my hands a few times before it finally came off. It claims to last 24 hours, the most I've worn is for 10 hours and it stayed on without smudging or fading. YARDLEY I started using natural soap from a company years ago, the com...

Copper Sparkle LOTD

One of the makeup trends for this winter season is metallic eyes and red lips. I voted in my poll on the top right side of my blog, that I was going to try both trends (metallic eyes and red lips). This look is starring the beautiful frost copper sparkle pigment. Since the pigment is very sparkly and has copper flecks in it, I kept the browbone and crease area very neutral and subdued. Here's the look. Here is a look I did yesterday using my Naked 1 palette that I won last month! This is a natural eye look, using three shadows with a pink lip (I know... I'm always doing a pink lip). I have dozens of other lipsticks, but; I keep coming back to my old faithful lip color :-)   PROUDCTS USED  Eyes -Elf brow kit medium -Urban Decay primer potion -Mac Studio Finish NC45 concealer as highlight -Half Baked (rich gold) e/s on lid -Darkhorse e/s on outter crease -Mac Saddle e/s as transition color -Black Radiance creme liner on upper lashline -Mac Engraved powerpoint eye pencil on lower lashline -Kiss lashes #5 Face -Mac Prep + Prime face -Black Opal Truly Topaz creme stick foundation -Mac C6 Studio Fix powder plus foundation -Elf Berry Merry blush -Mac Blunt blush to contour Lips -NYX chestnut lipliner -Mac Viva Glam Gaga I l/s

Lipstick Haul & Swatches (Pic Heavy)

Sooo... last month in October I went crazy with lipsticks, mind you-I'm a lip gloss girl, so why did I buy new lipsticks when I have about a dozen that I don't wear that much? Beats me, but the real reason is because I wanted to purchase lipsticks from other brands. All of my lipsticks are from Mac so I wanted to broaden my horizons. Anyway, I bought 1 lipstick from Black Radiance, 1 from Wet n Wild and 2 lipsticks from Iman. It was my first time purchasing these lipsticks from all three brands. I can honestly say that all of the lipsticks were very moisturizing and the color doesn't fade after wearing it for a few hours. The prices ranged from .99 cent to $9.00. From left to right: Black Radiance, Wet n Wild Pink, Iman Saffron, Iman Wild Thing Iman Wild Thing lipstick ($9) pictured below: This is my favorite lipstick right now. The camera doesn't do it justice but it's a plum berry-wine color it's beautiful! This is Iman wearing Wild Thing...
