What's in My Kit?! (Brushes)

A good majority of my readers are makeup artists or aspiring makeup artists and part of the makeup/tools that I buy is for my makeup artistry kit, so... from time to time, I will feature a few items that I use in my professional makeup artistry kit for clients-hopefully this will give artists (both professional and aspiring) a good idea of what products work and what doesn't work. In order to achieve professional results in your makeup application, the proper tools are needed. One of the most important tools to use are makeup brushes...there are endless brands that offer makeup brushes in all different prices. The brands that you choose are completely up to you, but; you do want to make sure you include brushes for a complete makeup application-which should include eye and face brushes. My thoughts... My goal is to have enough sets of brushes so that I don't have to wash/reuse any of my brushes for large parties like wedding/bridal parties. I currently have en...

An eyeshadow blending brush is must-have in every makeup collection to blend out eyeshadow, harsh lines on your eyes are not cute...blending brushes are not hard to find and you really can never have enough of them. Blends and softens the look of powder or cream shadows.    Ideal to apply eye shadow primer, base eye shadow colors, and blend harsh lines." The brush is small enough to fit in your hand. PROS -Very affordable, only $9 for the full-sized brush. -Easy to purchase...can be purchased online from Sigma Beauty . -The bristles are very dense and can pack on a lot of color and blend shadows effortlessly. -Small enough to fit in your cosmetic pouch, perfect for travel. CONS -Because the bristles are white, the shadow tends to stain the bristles. MY THOUGH...

Sigma Brushes Review & Sigma Affiliate Program

I've been making several purchases from Sigma because of all the good reviews that I've heard about them from You Tube and other beauty bloggers. I bought the Sigma Flat Top F80 kabuki and the large Shader brush a few months ago. Here are my thoughts.. F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush Pros -This brush can be used for applying foundation (cream or liquid), applying blush and applying powder. -It works as a buffer and blending brush, which is great for foundation. -It's very dense and doesn't use that much product. -The bristles are soft and easy to clean. -Unlike a duo fibre brush, it doesn't streak when applying liquid foundation. Cons -It's a little on the short side, I do wish it was a bit longer. Overall, I im in LOVE with this brush! It has replaced all of my foundation brushes. The price ($16) is reasonable for it's many uses.  It's a Sigma exclusive brush, so it can only be purcashed from Sigma. This is definitely a must have brush for any ...

BODY MOISTURIZERS Love Spell and Passionate Kisses (discontinued) my favorite scents from Victoria's Secret I have fell back in love with Victoria's Secret Garden lotions. They smell beautifully and they make your body, especially my hands feel like silk. My favorite scent is Love Spell. I have had these bottles for a little while now... Victoria's Secret doesn't make the bottles like this anymore. Caribbean Ginger perfume essence body butter from Soul Purpose ...
