I got a new Hermes Birkin bag...well, almost :-)

So...I have been wanting a Hermes Birkin bag for well over 10 years, since I was 16. I love the style, the shape, size and even the fixtures of the bag. As much as I love the bag, it's really expensive- a Hermes bag costs more than what I presently owe on my car loan, I know I won't be getting one any time soon or maybe even ever! Kim Kardashian carrying a Hermes bag.  I will settle for a look alike and that's exactly what I purchased from Just Fab . Just Fab is one of those membership sites like Shoe Dazzle , that sends you a monthly showroom of items to possibly purchase based on your style preferences. Just Fab sells shoes, handbags and even jewelry.  I purchased this bag last week, it's called the Law bag. It's inspired by the Hermes  Ostrich  Birkin bag. It's made out of faux ostrich material and it comes with gold fixtures. It's available in 7 other colors perfect for Spring, three of the colors are already sold out. This bag i...

Viva Glam Nicki Lip of the Day

Hey, Glamour Dolls! I am back with my lip of the day that I promised... this is how Mac Viva Glam Nicki lipstick looks on my skin. I cannot wear this lipstick alone, it looks really pasty, which is a huge makeup "don't" for me. I will advise to please exfoliate your lips before applying it, any dead skin will show up in the application. It's a pretty yellow-based pink...I think the yellow base makes it so eye catching. I pair it with a my Nyx chestnut liner (any brown lip liner will do), it mutes the pink down and eliminates the pasty look...I love how it turns out. This is definitely a brown-girl friendly shade and really all of the Viva Glam lipsticks are made to compliment any skin tone, if you don't already have it-you should get it. As always, the $14.50 from the Viva Glam lippies goes to supporting Aid's victims, buying a tube is a win-win situation.   Do you own Viva Nicki? How do you like it?

Mac, Inglot Haul + Swatches

Hey, Glamour Dolls! I'm back with another haul, I surprised myself by buying another haul so soon after the other one, but; I work hard... (shrugs) and I deserve it! Read on to see what I purchased and my thoughts. Click the pics to enlarge. Lippies I've been wanting Up the Amp lipstick for a while as well as Viva Glam Nicki and I'm pleased with the both of them. Up the Amp is a lavender violet color, it reminds me of a softer version of Violetta lipstick from Mac. I'm really not a fan of violet lipsticks (go figure) so, I pair it with a brown lip liner and it mutes the color down perfectly for me. Viva Nicki is gorgeous a beautiful yellow-pink color. I'm going to do a lip of the day, so you all can see how it looks. I've heard that Viva Nicki is going to be around for 1 full year, I'm definitely going to get a few more tubes. Blush I bought Sweet as Cocoa blush last month and I finally got Dollymix blush, it was on my Mac wishl...

Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder Review

I recently purchased the Careblend powder last month and I was asked to do a review of it from one of my beautiful blog supporters, here are my thoughts on the powder. Product Claims "Formulated to provide a smooth, virtually invisible, fresh-looking finish, this soft, cream-like powder is carefully blended to provide the skin with extra care, nourishment and comfort." Pros -Provides a natural, matte finish. -Available to purchase in 8 shades. -Great for on the go makeup touch ups. -Long wearing & non-cakey. Possible Con -The price retails for $23, if you're a Mac pro member the price is $13.80. My Thoughts I adore this powder! I ran out of my Mac Studio Fix powder and a friend suggested I try this, I love it. It provides a beautiful, flawless finish. It's a powder but the finish and coverage performs like a foundation! There are plenty of days when I just wear the powder on my face with no concealer and foundation and I get a great cov...

Finally, a Haul (Mac & OCC)

Hey, Glamour Dolls :-) So, FINALLY a post!    I haven't done a haul since May of last year. I decided to treat myself  to some makeup (besides the drugstore makeup I've been buying) and I bought a few items that I've been wanting from Mac since forever. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) had a garage sale last month and I picked up a few things. Here's the goods... MAC I hit pan on my Studio Fix powder, so; I got the Careblend pressed powder...I am so in love with this powder. It gives a natural finish and the appearance of having on foundation even though it's a powder, most days I wear this alone, by itself... that's how good it looks :-) Thanks to my friend Lynnie, for recommending it to me! I also got a few things I've been wanting for a while, Mac Sweet as Cocoa blush, Studio Fix Fluid foundation and Mac Spiked brow pencil. I don't know how I went this long without Mac Spiked brow pencil... it fills in my brow so easily and it makes ...

A Bulletproof Sin LOTD

Catchy title? Sugarpill's Bulletproof eyeshadow and Urban Decay's Sin eyeshadow were two of the main colors that I used on my lid. It seems like I've been stuck on neutral looks for so long, the Urban Decay Naked palette makes it so easy. Here is a neutral silver and brownish look I did using the Naked 1 palette. I have a love-hate with lashes, this time the lashes were on point...practice makes perfect. To enlarge, click the pic.
