Cowboy Carter Chic 🤠

Hello Dolls,

Summer is here! It's one of my favorite times of the year, because I actually have more of a social life when the weather is warmer. I have been working non-stop and saving up for a special event, so my social activities have been limited this year. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Beyonce' though! So many people raved about the Renaissance tour, so I didn't want to miss out on her next tour. Thankfully, I was able to get a ticket from Seat Geek for $107 the week before the concert!

My friends that let me tag along with them, they helped me out so much that night

I'm so glad that I did, because I absolutely enjoyed myself. She puts on an amazing show! Her voice sounds the same as it does on the radio. Her visuals, costumes and team of dancers were incredible. Seeing Blue Ivy doing her thing and seeing Rumi just being Rumi put the icing on the cake. I thought I was going to hear her perform songs from the Cowboy Carter album for the entire night, so when she started performing some of her pop hits like "Love on Top" and "Irreplaceable," I was dancing and singing in my seat.💃 Overall, the concert was a great time! I would attend her show again.

Shamelessly singing my heart out 😄

I had no clue what to wear, but I knew that the style was Western. I had a gift card from Fashion Nova that I needed to use, so I bought this fringe jumpsuit and Western hat from them. I got the belt from Rainbow, a while ago. I wore sneakers because I knew it would be a lot of walking involved. I was right, it was a lot of walking, and it was steamy and muggy. I did fine walking from the subway to the stadium, but after the concert was over, my body had enough. I had to take several breaks walking back. One of my friends arranged for her fiance to pick us up. I learned two things: 1. I'm in my Auntie era-for sure. 2. The next time, if my walking endurance doesn't improve, I will just pay for one of the golf cart drivers to take me back to the subway. Life humbles you as you get older, but it won't stop me from living and enjoying myself. 😀

What I wore:
Fringe Jumpsuit: Fashion Nova Curve
Western Chic Cowboy Hat: Fashion Nova (sold out)
Belt: Rainbow Shops (sold out) comparable belt (here)

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger,  Lollipuff , who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags. Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag! Before At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red in...

Creme of Nature Lemongrass and Rosemary Leave-In Conditioner Review

After promising myself to take better care of my hair, I read in a hair care magazine that if you have breakage or dry hair (like my hair) to consider purchasing a leave-in conditioner, since you don't have to rinse it out-the conditioner keeps on working and conditioning your hair. This was perfect for me because I'm really lazy when it comes to styling and taking care of my own hair... usually I look for products that are easy and quick to use. I do use Creme of Nature's Detangling shampoo, so I figured I would buy their leave-in conditioner. FYI- Creme of Nature is a brand that specializes in hair care products for women of color, who have natural or relaxed hair. They mostly use natural ingredients in their products, which they call "Certified Organic." Product Claims "Pamper your hair with this creme-based formula to soften, detangle, and provide the ultimate conditioning.  Perfect for color treated hair, organic  Lemongrass works to tone and hig...
