Wet n Wild Silent Treatment (LOTD)

This is a look I did a few days ago, using all the colors from the Silent Treatment Wet n Wild palette that I won! I really like the palette, but; I don't know how I feel about my entire know how we are our own worst critic?!

I love wearing lashes now and I'm just now learning that as much as you love a pair of lashes you can only wear them about 4 times. I really love my Miss Adoro 415 lashes, I wore them so much that they look a mess, I had to throw them away-thankfully, I bought an extra pair :-) Anywho, here is the look...

I'm experimenting with photo editing!

-Avon glimmersticks brow definer dark brown
-Elf eyelid primer
-pink e/s on browbone as highlight
-matte brown e/s from the Wet n Wild Vanity palette as a transition color
-lilac puple e/s on lid
-black e/s in crease
-Black Radiance creme liner in black on upper lashline
-Mac Engraved powerpoint pencil eyeliner on lower lashline
-Miss Adoro lashes 415 (my fave lashes!)

-Mac Prep + Prime Face
-Mac Select Cover up NC45 concealer
-Mac Blot Powder dark
-Elf Berry Merry blush

Shadows look really pretty on you! I always say that Wet n wild is so underrated in the drugstore beauty world. They have this reputation of being the make-up you wore in high school but they really do have quality, affordable products. And they need to pay me for being their unofficial spokeswoman! lol
Love! Love! Love the look! You look wonderful. I'm definitely checking out that nude l/s from Maybelline too. Thanks for sharing.

@Shana: Thanks, girl. I found the Maybelline l/s at the Dollar Store!

@Jennifer: Thanks. Lol, I love Wet n Wild too, wasn't much of a fan back in my high school days, but; they've really stepped up their game!

@Jennifer: Thanks so much :-)

@GirlRatesWorld: Thank you! So glad you love it... that nude lippie is my fave nude l/s. I'm sure you'll wear it well.

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger, Lollipuff, who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags.

Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag!

At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red interior was terrib…

Alexandra Butler's A Beautiful Face 101 :DC Makeup Class (Recap)!

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of attending Alexandra Butler's A Beautiful Face makeup class. I met Alexandra the first time at The NYC Makeup show last May; before then I had been following her work since an interview she did on Erin Bailey's (Scandalous Beauty) beauty blog.

Alex is a beautiful and amazingly talented freelance makeup artist who currently lives in Atlanta. She worked for Mac for a while and now she's professionally freelancing on her own. She has all kinds of clients from your every day women to celebrity clients. She has done makeup for cast members from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and also Real Housewives of Atlanta TV shows. I've always admired her flawless face makeup, especially the way she sculpts and contours or as she would say "snatched up your face."

Alex has been hosting makeup shows in several states and she made her way to DC this past Sunday, I couldn't wait (I registered back in February)! I loved the class so much, I r…
