Hello, Dolls
Here are my latest winter favorites that I've been loving and using consistently!
Murad Acne Clarifying Cleanser:
I got this deluxe sample in one of my Ipsy bags; I took it with me on my last trip since it's the perfect size for my carry on. I still have adult acne, and the occasional flare ups. In just my first day of using this cleanser, it dried out my acne and eliminated several whiteheads that I had. I'm impressed with how quickly it works, and I plan on buying the full size. I'm happy with my African Black soap cleanser; but, I plan to use this cleanser when I have acne, or feel a breakout coming.
The Balm Batter Up Eyeshadow Sticks:
From left to right: Night Game, Dug Out, Shut Out, and Slugger |
One of my beauty goals is to wear eyeshadow daily; on some days, I don't have time to get my brushes out, apply primer, apply shadow, blend and etc. These shadow sticks eliminate those steps; all I do is glide it on my lids and go! An added benefit is that they have a built in primer, and they double as an eyeliner! The longevity of wear time is about 10-12 hours on my oily lids. I only use one stick at a time; but, you can definitely use several of the sticks, at once, to create a more dramatic look.
Izzy and Liv Brooches:

I've been receiving great accessories in my monthly Brown Sugar Box! My first box, I received a brooch. I've always thought they were old ladyish/grandma vibes, turns out I really like them! Brooches are beautiful, and they make a statement on their own! I especially love the sparkle and the touch of glamour that brooches provide! I've been wearing them on my coats, blazers, and sweaters. Click HERE to see how I wore it in my last outfit of the night post!
Shea Butter Body Balms:
Essence of Oasis Body Butter in Apple Pie Spice |
Winter temperatures mean drier skin. I've been using shea butter body balms for a while because they moisturize and coat my skin so well. The moisture from shea butter body balms lasts longer than lotion on my skin. I use the balms every day after hand washing and after bathing. My favorite balms of the moment are from Perfume Chick and Mobile Oasis. Both of their shea butter body balms are hand crafted, have wonderful scents, and because a little goes a long way, a jar will last a long time.
Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub
I got this scrub in a monthly beauty box! It took me forever to use it; but, when I did, I was so pleased! First off, it smells amazing! It smells like brown sugar and maple syrup, it smells good enough to eat! Secondly, even though, it is an exfoliating scrub; it has the smoothest texture. A lot of scrubs are rough and coarse on your skin, this scrub is not. Lastly, it exfoliates and moisturizes my skin so well. There are days when I didn't apply my shea butter balm to my skin after bathing and my skin was still moist. Not to mention it leaves my skin baby soft!
