Haul: Wet n Wild, Burts Bees, Sephora and more! (Pic Heavy)

I haven't done a haul in a while and since most of my IMATS purchases for next month will be for my kit, I figured I would pick up a couple of things for myself.

My haul starts with Walgreens... can you guess what I wanted to buy there? Wet n Wild palettes! The nearest Walgreens is a little ways from where I live, but since I was in that area I decided to stop and browse. I picked up the Wet n Wild 8 pan palette in Blue Had me at Hello ($4.99), that was the only palette that I wanted because I love blue and green eyeshadows. I saw a few of the trio palettes there but I had most of the colors in other palettes-there was no need to buy duplicate colors.

I also browsed Walgreens clearance rack and found Jordana lip liners on clearance for $1 each. I bought mauve and spice.

Next up is Burt's Bees... I've never tried Burt's Bees but heard good reviews about their products. I was actually buying body butter for a friend who has severe dry skin and I stumbled upon the Burt's Bees Tips n Toes kit on Ebay. The seller was selling the kit for $6.99 each. I bought 3 of them, 2 as gifts and 1 for myself. It's an 8 piece kit that includes: Honey lip balm, Coconut foot creme, Exfoliating pumice stone, Peppermint foot lotion, Hand salve, Lemon Butter cuticle creme, Beeswax creme and Almond Milk beeswax hand creme.

I love this kit, it's a great way to try their products to see if you like them or not. I love the hand salve and the lemon butter cuticle creme, they moisturize really well and they're non-greasy. I didn't like the Beeswax creme because it was sticky, so I threw it away. The Almond Milk hand creme was great for moisture but I can't stand the smell of Almond body products, needless to say... I threw away the Almond creme too.

Laslty, my Sephora haul. I hardly ever buy from Sephora, I forgot how much I loved it-they're always giving out freebies and samples and they have all kinds of value kits from numerous makeup brands. I only purchased because I got a free 6 oz Philosophy Vanilla cake bubble bath/shower gel.

I never tried any of Urban Decay's products besides the primer potion, so I purchased the Urban Decay Show pony shadow box. It comes with 6 shadows: a peachy pink, turquoise, deep green, electric purple, deep bronze and copper. It also comes with a mini Urban Decay primer potion and the 24/7 eye pencil in zero. I can already tell from the pigmentation of these shadows that I will definitely be buying more of them. The price was originally $30 but I got it for $16!

It's a cute size, it can actually fit in my purse :)

Swatches of the shadows.

Next, I bought the infamous Rosebud Salve in a can. It's priced at $6. I bought 2 of them since they were so cheap. I've heard great reviews about this product. It has many uses for: soothing cuts and burns, dry skin, lip balm and exfoliant and taming unruly brows.

Now for the freebies! Since I'm a Sephora beauty insider and I reached 100 points in purchases I got a Hello Kitty grape eye liner.

It's small, but it delivers a lot of color.

Also, I saw a promotion for a free Too Faced  bronze tint primer sample. I added that to my other items. It debuts in a few weeks at Sephora and it's a primer with a bronzed tint... sounds innovative.

This color is close to my skin tone, I may have to purchse the full sized product.
The full sized primer will be $30 for 1 oz... glad I got the sample. I also received my 3 free standard samples from Sephora that you pick  out when you place an order. I got a sample of the Sephora moisturizer, a mask and a perfume sample.

Free samples of a Dolc & Gabanna fragrance, a moisturizer and mask.

That's it for my haul! I didn't break the bank too bad. I got my first commission for being a Sigma affiliate so that helped with the purchases! Click HERE for more info about the Sigma affiliate program.

Wish I had know you'd never tried UD b/c I would have given a ringing endorsement a long time ago! lol! I don't like the primer potion, but I love their shadows and liners. Rich in color and they last all day.

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger,  Lollipuff , who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags. Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag! Before At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red interi

Mac Face and Body Foundation Review

One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a  review on it, so here it is. Product Claims "A water-based, water-resistant foundation that provides long-lasting, natural coverage for face and/or body. Ideal for all skin types. Face and Body Foundation provides sheer, natural looking coverage in an easy to blend, water-resistant formula. The long-lasting formula is available in a wide range of colours and contains several emollients to help moisturize and condition the skin. It delivers professional looking results that meet the exacting standards of beauty photography and is ideal for perfecting the face and body." Pros -Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances). -For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle. -Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face.

Creme of Nature Lemongrass and Rosemary Leave-In Conditioner Review

After promising myself to take better care of my hair, I read in a hair care magazine that if you have breakage or dry hair (like my hair) to consider purchasing a leave-in conditioner, since you don't have to rinse it out-the conditioner keeps on working and conditioning your hair. This was perfect for me because I'm really lazy when it comes to styling and taking care of my own hair... usually I look for products that are easy and quick to use. I do use Creme of Nature's Detangling shampoo, so I figured I would buy their leave-in conditioner. FYI- Creme of Nature is a brand that specializes in hair care products for women of color, who have natural or relaxed hair. They mostly use natural ingredients in their products, which they call "Certified Organic." Product Claims "Pamper your hair with this creme-based formula to soften, detangle, and provide the ultimate conditioning.  Perfect for color treated hair, organic  Lemongrass works to tone and hig
