Wet n Wild "Lust" Look of the Day

This is look # 2 in my Wet n Wild series. This is the Lust palette. It consists of 2 white colors, a matte purple, shimmery silver and 2 smokey purples colors mixed with shimmer. I intended this to be a purple-plum look but after I saw it NOT becoming the look I wanted, I just kept blending until I came up with something decent and came out being a purple smokey eye. This is my very first true smokey eye.

-Elf brow kit in medium
-Mac Painterly paint pot as a base
-matte purple in the inner half of my lid
-matte deep purple on the outter half of my lid
-silver and shimmery purple colors in my crease
-Mac NC 42 Studio Finish concealer as my highlight
-Mark Eyemarker eyeliner on upper and lower lash line
-matte purple smudged into my lower lash line for a smokey effect
-Maybelline Falsies Volum mascara

-Black Opal Truly Topaz creme stick foundation (I think this is becoming my fave foundation!)
-Mac NC45 Studio Finish concealer under eyes
-Mac C6 Studio Fix powder
-Mac Gingerly blush

-Nyx Chestnut lip liner
-Maybelline Noteworthy Nude lipstick

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger, Lollipuff, who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags.

Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag!

At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red interior was terrib…

Mac Face and Body Foundation Review

One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a  review on it, so here it is.

Product Claims
"A water-based, water-resistant foundation that provides long-lasting, natural coverage for face and/or body. Ideal for all skin types. Face and Body Foundation provides sheer, natural looking coverage in an easy to blend, water-resistant formula. The long-lasting formula is available in a wide range of colours and contains several emollients to help moisturize and condition the skin. It delivers professional looking results that meet the exacting standards of beauty photography and is ideal for perfecting the face and body."

-Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances).
-For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle.
-Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face.

Black Opal: True Color Pore Perfecting Liquid Foundation Review

As of late, I've have been loving this foundation. I have gotten a tan, and this prompted me to buy a new foundation matching my new shade. The color that I bought is Truly Topaz and probably in the Fall/Winter I will be back to my Heavenly Honey shade. I've used Black Opal foundations before, and I figured I would give this new one a try. Read on for my thoughts.

"Keep them guessing with picture poreless skin. This lightweight, oil-free liquid foundation seamlessly blends to provide flawless coverage with a high definition finish. Exclusive poreless technology helps minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, controls excess oil and renews skin natural radiance. Oil, fragrance and paraben-free formula. Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive."

-Inexpensive, it's $10.95 online and retails anywhere between $12-$13 in stores.
-Light to medium coverage, this is a pro for those who have relatively clear skin.
-The coverage is buildable.
