*Updated* Everyday/Workplace Makeup Look

A little while I go, I did my everyday work /place makeup look...that look has changed, so; I wanted to show my updated everyday look that I wear to work.

I work at a library (library's are definitely not as conservative as a lot of people think as far as beauty and style) I can definitely wear color there, but; I choose to wear a more subdued makeup look.

The look consists of a polished face (concealer and powder), bronzer, mascara and a pink lip (I'm really loving pink lips right now!) if I have extra time, I may put eyeshadow on my lids. Here is the look...

Products I wear daily:

MAC SELECT COVER UP CONCEALER

I wear this concealer in NC45, it gives just the right amount of coverage for my dark circles and acne scars without looking made up. It provides a satin, natural finish...perfect for the office.

MAC BLOT POWDER IN DARK

To set the concealer, I apply this blot powder. I don't like to look to matte, so; I apply this powder only to the spots that get oily during the day like my nose and chin.

COVER GIRL QUEEN BRONZER IN BROWN BRONZER

This is one of my newest raves, it's a great bronzer that provides minimal sheen. It's one shade darker than my skin, so it can work as a contour for my face as well as a bronzer. I have it on in the picture above, I love how it gives a nice pop of color to the cheeks, it serves as a nice blush!

L'OREAL VOLUMINOUS CURVE MASCARA

I wear this mascara everyday no matter what! I just bought my second tube last week, I really like the curved brush because it curls my lashes so well. Mascara is one of those products that can change your look within a matter of seconds...it makes those eyes pop.

PINK LIPSTICK

I have been loving myself some pink lips, it gives your face a youthful look and it's a nice contrast from all the brown tones that concealer and bronzer gives your face. I usually pair my pink lipsticks with either Mac Cork or Currant lip liner or Nyx coffee lip liner. I normally wear one of the Mac Viva Glam Gaga, Viva Glam V or Pink Noeveau lipsticks. I'm wearing the Viva Glam Gaga in the above pic.

DO YOU HAVE AN EVERYDAY MAKEUP ROUTINE? ARE YOU A MAKEUP MAVEN OR A MAKEUP MINIMALIST FOR WORK?

lately Ive been into skincare plus Ive been working out during lunch so I cant do too much makeup wise. I do a brow and a lip, MAYBE some liner/mascara and blush. So I guess as of late I have been a makeup minimalist. and TAG! Youre it! http://shanajanelle.blogspot.com/2011/08/tag-desert-island-lips.html

I work in a library as well. Some days my makeup is minimal but other days super over the top. I love that it is such a relaxed environment! Lol

Didn't know you work in a library too?! I work in the circulation dept.

Yeah, libraries are relaxed now, not so conservative like some people think.

Beautiful...
I don't really wear makeup to work, only if I wake up on time which is never! Lol...

Ooh! I'm the third library employee to post here. :)

So pretty. I love the pink lipstick on you. I don't really wear it, but I want to start. I have some shades, but not a lot.

@Cocoa: Thanks Cocoa! Try the L'oreal curve, I think the curved brush makes the difference. I don't think I will go back to a regular mascara brush.

Glad you got your package, I will respond to your pm now.

@:lovelifelive4evr: Yay, another library worker!! I'm glad someone can relate to my job.

Lol, I don't wake up when I'm supposed to either... I put my work face on 5 minutes before we open up in the morning :)

Pink lipstick looks good on everyone, you can really never go wrong with the Viva Glam series lipsticks.
Very Nice & Simple look. :-)

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger,  Lollipuff , who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags. Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag! Before At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red interi

Mac Face and Body Foundation Review

One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a  review on it, so here it is. Product Claims "A water-based, water-resistant foundation that provides long-lasting, natural coverage for face and/or body. Ideal for all skin types. Face and Body Foundation provides sheer, natural looking coverage in an easy to blend, water-resistant formula. The long-lasting formula is available in a wide range of colours and contains several emollients to help moisturize and condition the skin. It delivers professional looking results that meet the exacting standards of beauty photography and is ideal for perfecting the face and body." Pros -Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances). -For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle. -Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face.

Creme of Nature Lemongrass and Rosemary Leave-In Conditioner Review

After promising myself to take better care of my hair, I read in a hair care magazine that if you have breakage or dry hair (like my hair) to consider purchasing a leave-in conditioner, since you don't have to rinse it out-the conditioner keeps on working and conditioning your hair. This was perfect for me because I'm really lazy when it comes to styling and taking care of my own hair... usually I look for products that are easy and quick to use. I do use Creme of Nature's Detangling shampoo, so I figured I would buy their leave-in conditioner. FYI- Creme of Nature is a brand that specializes in hair care products for women of color, who have natural or relaxed hair. They mostly use natural ingredients in their products, which they call "Certified Organic." Product Claims "Pamper your hair with this creme-based formula to soften, detangle, and provide the ultimate conditioning.  Perfect for color treated hair, organic  Lemongrass works to tone and hig
