Burt's Bees Sensitive Skin Cleanser and Moisturizer Review

Since I'm a BzzAgent, I was sent some exclusive products from the Burt's Bees line for my consideration. I was sent the Sensitive Skin Facial Cleanser and the Sensitive Daily Moisturizing Cream.

Here's the long and short of it... the short of it, I really like both products. For the long of it and the details, keep reading!

PRODUCT CLAIMS

Cleanser

"This soap-free cream cleanser is clinically proven to moisturize sensitive skin while gently cleansing away dirt, oil and make-up without over drying or causing redness. Distinctly formulated with softening Cotton Extract to help skin replenish its outer layer and minimize the effects of potential irritants such as harsh soaps or cleansers, it also moisturizes with Rice Extract and soothes with Aloe. Naturally gentle and skin-friendly for daily use, it’s what every sensitive product should be."

Moisturizer

"Clinically proven to moisturize sensitive skin all day without causing redness or irritation, this nourishing day cream is formulated with softening Cotton Extract to help skin replenish its outer layer and minimize the effects of potential irritants such as harsh soaps or cleansers. All while Rice Extract moisturizes and Aloe soothes your skin. Naturally gentle for daily use, it’s what your sensitive skin has been waiting for."

PROS

-Both products are 99% natural and made with ingredients such as cotton, yucca and rice extract.
-Both are fragrance-free and hypo-allergenic.
-Both are allergy tested and dermatoligist-tested.
-Both can be convienently purchased through a drugstore or from the Burt's Bees website.
-Both products do not cause irritation or redness.
-Both products feel light to the touch and on the face.

CONS

-The price is somewhat expensive for skin care products. The cleanser is $10 and the moisturizer is $15, both products are a few dollars extra in drugstores... but; considering that they're both 99% natural and made for sensitive skin-the price is really unbeatable.

MY THOUGHTS

I really enjoy using both products. The cleanser has a nice light, creamy texture that effectively removes my makeup, dirt and oil. I've noticed that my skin feels very soft after using it and I haven't experienced any irritation.

I love the moisturizer, it absorbs quickly into my skin and goes on very light. I can use it in the morning and my face doesn't feel greasy mid day or at night. I took the moisturizer with me on vacation, in Miami and the Caribbean and it held up under all the humidity and sweat.

Now, it's winter and it still performs well. I normally change moisturizers in the winter, but; I'll stick with the Burt's Bees. I have been looking for a skin care set to include in my makeup artistry kit, I was considering Cetaphil, but; I really like the Burt's Bees and surprisingly-the cost is about the same.

Have you tried any of Burt's Bees skin care products? What are your thoughts?

Disclosure: I'm a BzzAgent and I received these products for free, for my consideration. I was not paid to write this post. All of my thoughts are my own and 100% honest. Burt's Bees products are amazing but agree the price can be a bit steep. I especially love their hand salve during the winter. Works wonders for dry skin. xo

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger,  Lollipuff , who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags. Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag! Before At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red interi

Mac Face and Body Foundation Review

One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a  review on it, so here it is. Product Claims "A water-based, water-resistant foundation that provides long-lasting, natural coverage for face and/or body. Ideal for all skin types. Face and Body Foundation provides sheer, natural looking coverage in an easy to blend, water-resistant formula. The long-lasting formula is available in a wide range of colours and contains several emollients to help moisturize and condition the skin. It delivers professional looking results that meet the exacting standards of beauty photography and is ideal for perfecting the face and body." Pros -Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances). -For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle. -Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face.

Creme of Nature Lemongrass and Rosemary Leave-In Conditioner Review

After promising myself to take better care of my hair, I read in a hair care magazine that if you have breakage or dry hair (like my hair) to consider purchasing a leave-in conditioner, since you don't have to rinse it out-the conditioner keeps on working and conditioning your hair. This was perfect for me because I'm really lazy when it comes to styling and taking care of my own hair... usually I look for products that are easy and quick to use. I do use Creme of Nature's Detangling shampoo, so I figured I would buy their leave-in conditioner. FYI- Creme of Nature is a brand that specializes in hair care products for women of color, who have natural or relaxed hair. They mostly use natural ingredients in their products, which they call "Certified Organic." Product Claims "Pamper your hair with this creme-based formula to soften, detangle, and provide the ultimate conditioning.  Perfect for color treated hair, organic  Lemongrass works to tone and hig
