Viva Glam Nicki Lip of the Day

Hey, Glamour Dolls!

I am back with my lip of the day that I promised... this is how Mac Viva Glam Nicki lipstick looks on my skin. I cannot wear this lipstick alone, it looks really pasty, which is a huge makeup "don't" for me. I will advise to please exfoliate your lips before applying it, any dead skin will show up in the application. It's a pretty yellow-based pink...I think the yellow base makes it so eye catching.

I pair it with a my Nyx chestnut liner (any brown lip liner will do), it mutes the pink down and eliminates the pasty look...I love how it turns out. This is definitely a brown-girl friendly shade and really all of the Viva Glam lipsticks are made to compliment any skin tone, if you don't already have it-you should get it. As always, the $14.50 from the Viva Glam lippies goes to supporting Aid's victims, buying a tube is a win-win situation.

Do you own Viva Nicki? How do you like it?

It looks pretty on you, hun!

I have it and wear the NYX expresso lipliner with it to tone it down or deep purple to transform the color all together.

Mac Face and Body Foundation Review

One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a  review on it, so here it is. Product Claims "A water-based, water-resistant foundation that provides long-lasting, natural coverage for face and/or body. Ideal for all skin types. Face and Body Foundation provides sheer, natural looking coverage in an easy to blend, water-resistant formula. The long-lasting formula is available in a wide range of colours and contains several emollients to help moisturize and condition the skin. It delivers professional looking results that meet the exacting standards of beauty photography and is ideal for perfecting the face and body." Pros -Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances). -For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle. -Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face. ...

Creme of Nature Lemongrass and Rosemary Leave-In Conditioner Review

After promising myself to take better care of my hair, I read in a hair care magazine that if you have breakage or dry hair (like my hair) to consider purchasing a leave-in conditioner, since you don't have to rinse it out-the conditioner keeps on working and conditioning your hair. This was perfect for me because I'm really lazy when it comes to styling and taking care of my own hair... usually I look for products that are easy and quick to use. I do use Creme of Nature's Detangling shampoo, so I figured I would buy their leave-in conditioner. FYI- Creme of Nature is a brand that specializes in hair care products for women of color, who have natural or relaxed hair. They mostly use natural ingredients in their products, which they call "Certified Organic." Product Claims "Pamper your hair with this creme-based formula to soften, detangle, and provide the ultimate conditioning.  Perfect for color treated hair, organic  Lemongrass works to tone and hig...

Mac, Inglot Haul + Swatches

Hey, Glamour Dolls! I'm back with another haul, I surprised myself by buying another haul so soon after the other one, but; I work hard... (shrugs) and I deserve it! Read on to see what I purchased and my thoughts. Click the pics to enlarge. Lippies I've been wanting Up the Amp lipstick for a while as well as Viva Glam Nicki and I'm pleased with the both of them. Up the Amp is a lavender violet color, it reminds me of a softer version of Violetta lipstick from Mac. I'm really not a fan of violet lipsticks (go figure) so, I pair it with a brown lip liner and it mutes the color down perfectly for me. Viva Nicki is gorgeous a beautiful yellow-pink color. I'm going to do a lip of the day, so you all can see how it looks. I've heard that Viva Nicki is going to be around for 1 full year, I'm definitely going to get a few more tubes. Blush I bought Sweet as Cocoa blush last month and I finally got Dollymix blush, it was on my Mac wishl...
