I'm going to The Makeup Show!

Hey, Glamour Dolls!

As you know this time of the year is busy with all kinds of makeup shows from IMATS to The Makeup Show. I didn't blog about IMATS NYC this year because I didn't attend, this year will be different because I'm going to The Makeup Show for the 1st time ever, in NYC!

The Makeup Show is similar to IMATS, it's a trade show that presents seminars, workshops and new products. The show also features product launches, new product lines, networking opportunities and even a career fair this year! One of the biggest differences between IMATS and The Makeup Show is that IMATS is open to everyone, anyone could attend... The Makeup Show is pro only, for individuals and companies that are involved in the makeup industry-you do have to show proof of your profession upon entry.

I'm not from NYC, so; it will be a weekend getaway with a friend of mine, who is also a MUA. I'm excited as I was last year because there will be so many great companies there, I can't wait to attend some of the workshops plus I'm planning on making several product/makeup purchases :-) BEYOND EXCITED!

Will you be attending The Makeup Show NYC? If so, I will be in attendance for both days and would like to meet you :-)

Well-Being: A Better Night's Sleep

Hello, Dolls A good night's sleep is something I've been chasing after for years. Like many people, my nights can be chaotic. Not to mention, I've been suffering with insomnia for years, yes years.     It takes me a while to unwind and fall asleep, and when I finally do, I wake up several times throughout the night. I’ve taken several sleep aids and remedies through the years. I've tried teas, linen sleep sprays, over the counter and prescription aids, and almost every lavender night time product out there. Some were helpful at first, but after a while, I think my body got immune to it. So, I was very curious when Highline Wellness gifted me a bottle of their CBD Night gummies. I was skeptical at first, but they’re really working for me.  The melatonin helps you to fall asleep, and CBD helps you to stay asleep. I’m able to fall asleep faster, and stay asleep longer. An added benefit is I don’t wake up the next morning experiencing grogginess like I’ve felt with ot...

How I Refurbished my Louis Vuitton Speedy...

I bought an authentic preloved Louis Vuitton Damier Speedy bag a few months back. While I was so excited to finally get the bag and wear it, I realized (at that time of buying and when I received it) that the bag had some wear on it that could use some fixing up. After searching online, I found a blogger,  Lollipuff , who posted an article on how to refurbish LV bags. Based on the recommendations in the post, I used the following products: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Blue Magic Metal Polish cream (tube) and Cadillac Boot and Shine leather conditioner. I also used laundry detergent and baby wipes. All of the products used can be used on any bag to spruce it up. Read on for the deets, to see how you can spruce up your handbag! Before At first glance, the bag had some sheen on the exterior. Most of the brass fixtures had green tarnishing (which happens with aging of brass). The leather handles were dull. The bag had lost some of its shape. The inside was the kicker! The red in...
