I am back with a long overdue review. Nicole from Girls Rates World (so sorry it's late) asked for me to review this a while ago, I have been really busy with work and other obligations, which is the reason why there was such delay. I did a mini review on these powders in a haul post, for my initial thoughts-click HERE. Here are my final thoughts on these powders.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
“A liquid-powder highlighter with prismatic reflections that sculpts, highlights and models the face. The cool, creamy near-fluid formula creates a luminous, well-defined finish. Wears 10 hours.”
PROS
-Works as a highlighter and doubles as bronzer on skin tones
-Long wearing
-Extremely pigmented
-A little goes a very long way
-Goes on light, but it's buildable to get the desired intensity.
CONS
-Limited edition product, already sold out
-Price is on the high end, of $29
THE DEETS
These higlighting powders were the first of the mineralize skinfinish category powders that I've purchased from Mac ever, so; I don't have anything to compare them with, but; I'll do the best that I can.
SIZE, TEXTURE AND PERFORMANCE
I thought that these powders were going to be the size of Mac's blushes but they are not, they're larger than that, which is great considering the price of them. The description says liquid- powder but they apply and feel like powder. The performance of the highlighters are superb...the color lasts from the time you put it on until you're ready to take your makeup off. The texture is great to work with, it's buildable, blendable and not flaky. The pigmentation is out of this world, the pictures above show how pigmented these powders are with just 1 swipe!
USES
I use the powders as a multi-purpose item, they work well as a highlighter, blush, bronzer and even eyeshadow. The Whisper of Guilt works as a great highlighter for my complexion and the Glorify works well as a beautiful bronzer on my skin. Glorify looks gorgeous on darker skin tones when used as a highlighter... I can't wait to try it on a client.
AREAS OF CONCERN
My only gripe with these powders are that they are limited edition and already sold out, but; since Mac is famous for putting out tons of collections throughout the year, they will probably just repromote these powders again or create dupes for them.
The other thing that is an area of concern is that in order for these powders to adequately show up on camera, you really have to pack on the color. I can't really say that it's a gripe because it's not the powders, but; the flash on cameras that can wash out the color of makeup in pictures. So, if you know you will be wearing these powders and taking pics, pack on more of the product than you normally would and you'll be fine.
OVERALL
Would I recommend this product to anyone? YES!
Would I buy this product again? DOUBLE YES!!

L'oreal & Black Radiance makes a good primer that does both and so does Mac.
