About Zach & His Style Inspiration...
"Born and Raised in the DMV the Fall/Winter means a lot of things, style wise, to me. Having seen some of the roughest and coldest winters around this time of year means layers, boots, and more. In so many words, being fashionably warm. My inspiration flows from hip hop culture and the backdrop that is the DMV. Earth tone colors, such as, green, brown, reds, and oranges are a necessary part of attire. You can never go wrong with your neutral colors like grey and black. I like to start all my ensembles from the ground up... with the foundation being comfortable, functional, and stylish."
Zach's Style Recommendations and Tips...
-Shoes
-Garments/Outerwear
"Winter, in my mind, brings different material blends, not completely ditching your cotton blends but adding those such as your wool, leather, denim, and gortex. I like to layer garments giving different texture, as well as the added warmth while trying to be stylish. Cotton hooded and crew neck sweatshirts with a denim or blended material coat is a great look for the 55-70 degree temps of the fall. Trench coats are also a good buy with the fall rainstorms. Once the temp drops, a similar layered look can be accomplished with a wool pea coat, varsity jacket (pictured above), or a trench provides a simple and functional look for the colder temps. In the means of pants, wool, denim, and heavy cotton blends are your friend for warmth. In the means of style, distressed jeans can be coupled with thermal undergarments for style, as well as functionality."
-Accessories
"At this time of year, accessories play just as much a role as they do in the warmer part of the year. For men, never downplay a good time piece (watch). Gold, silver, or a business casual time piece(I usually mix different elements, such as gold case with a rubber band) is always a great addition to take a particular outfit to the next level. Another necessary article is that of the winter hat, scarf, and gloves. Hat and scarf sets are readily available and a highly fashionable addition for any ensemble; these accompanied with a wool coat or your favorite active jacket will always create a good look."
If you don't do anything else, Zach recommends this!
"Be mindful of the swag you bring to the room, a good calling card is a trademark fragrance. Fall/ Winter is a good time for your heavier scents that channel oak or a deep scent. Great winter fragrances for men are: YSL, Gucci Guilty, Dior Sauvage, just to name a few. Stop by your local counter, and if you can, consult with the associates-if help is needed. Another option is Scentbird which is a way of testing numerous scents."

Favorite Designer...
"I’m an avid fan of Ralph Lauren Polo. Polo provides a multitude of colors, as well style to suit the everyday man into the refined gentleman. Classic fit polo’s, both long sleeved and short sleeve, are still great accompanied with the outer layers as previously listed; one can create a look uniquely yours based on style preferences. A personal favorite of mine is Polo Rugby, which are of thicker cotton material, some combine the elements of hoods and other design elements... most contain a distressed look which contrast with the elements of the season."Pictured: Ralph Lauren Polo Varsity Patchwork Jacket and Jordan 1 Rookie of the Year sneakers |

-Shoes
"Boots are always a winter staple, brands such as Timberland and Nike provide functionality and style as well as array of color hue to complement whatever palate you chose to stay in. Other reputable brands, that make stylish boots and/or winter suitable shoes are: Clarks and Clear Weather Brand. All other major shoe brands have dived into the new realm of the sneaker/boot design- which blends both elements of style and functionality."
