The Weekend Foodie: My Fave Restaurant of Summer 2021 + OOTD!

On the weekends, I become a foodie! I was one of the people who couldn't wait to dine in at restaurants, once I felt it was safe to do so. I'm happy to say that this summer, I've had my fair share of in door dining.

I've rode past the Crab Shack several times, and I decided to try it. The first time I ordered, I wasn't impressed with what I ate. To know me closely, is to know that I love seafood. So, I couldn't stand to think that any seafood spot couldn't be delicious. I had to give it one more try. The next time I went, I ordered something different, and I loved it! I've been going ever since!

Need a place to go to Happy Hour after work? The Crab Shack!

Want something to eat while watching a Verzuz battle? The Crab Shack!

📍Location: If you live in the DMV area, (DC, MD, VA) the Crab Shack is located in Crofton, Md. If you're familiar with Crofton, MD, the Crab Shack used to be the Big Fish Grille.

Service + Staff: The staff is attentive. When you come in, you select your seats, and the staff hands you menus. You order at the cashier, and you pay up front. I was not used to this, but it frees you from waiting for your waiter/waitress to come by with the check, and then waiting for them to come back. The staff brings your food out to you as it becomes ready. Everything is served in disposable or reusable containers.

Menu: The Crab Shack has quick, tasty seafood and American dishes. You can get a variety of seafood dishes from crab boils, shrimp, lobster melt, crab cake sandwiches, and fish to name a few. They have a nice selection of American food, from burgers to wings and soups! I almost forgot, their drinks are good too. I'm basic when it comes to drinking, so my classic margarita is my choice every time I go.

My Favorite Dish: I absolutely love the crab and lobster melt. It's made with jumbo lump crab, Maine lobster, bacon, cheese and scallions on toast. So delicious! 😋 I get it every single time I go.

You Must Try: You have to try the Mexican Street corn. 🌽It's brushed with lime mayonnaise, queso fresco and chili powder. It's out of this world delicious! 💣Also, the hush puppies with honey mayonnaise is tasty too.

Overall, I love the Crab Shack! I haven't tried everything on the menu, but I'll definitely be coming back for more.

About the Look: Thanks to one of my favorite plus fashion accounts on Instagram @gocurv for inspiring me to wear this maxi romper. She wore one a a few weeks ago, and she looked amazing! 🔥 I decided to wear mine before summer is over. I call it a one-piece wonder. It's on clearance for $12.99.

It's from the Eloquii Elements collection at Walmart. The Elements collection is the less expensive line of Eloquii clothing. Everything is $50, and under. If you have the Zip app, (formerly Quadpay) you can pay for your Walmart purchases in four payments. 😉

What I'm Wearing:
Earrings: Shein
Stencil Print Walk-Through Maxi Romper: Eloquii x Walmart
Slides: Boo Hoo
Tote Bag: Amazon

What's your go-to restaurant?

Pros -Price is $32.50 retail and about $19 if you're a Mac pro card member (That could be a con based on your finances). -For the price you pay it gives you a lot of foundation. It's in a 4 fl oz bottle. -Because it's water based it doesn't feel heavy, it feels very light on the face. ...

Well-Being: A Better Night's Sleep

Hello, Dolls A good night's sleep is something I've been chasing after for years. Like many people, my nights can be chaotic. Not to mention, I've been suffering with insomnia for years, yes years.     It takes me a while to unwind and fall asleep, and when I finally do, I wake up several times throughout the night. I’ve taken several sleep aids and remedies through the years. I've tried teas, linen sleep sprays, over the counter and prescription aids, and almost every lavender night time product out there. Some were helpful at first, but after a while, I think my body got immune to it. So, I was very curious when Highline Wellness gifted me a bottle of their CBD Night gummies. I was skeptical at first, but they’re really working for me.  The melatonin helps you to fall asleep, and CBD helps you to stay asleep. I’m able to fall asleep faster, and stay asleep longer. An added benefit is I don’t wake up the next morning experiencing grogginess like I’ve felt with ot...

Update & My Current Beauty Faves

Hey, Glamour Dolls! How are you all?! Long time no post...it feels good to finally write something on here. What's been going on with me? Just life. I've been busy and focused on a few things; which has been leaving me drained and given me a lack of desire to do anything else. Things have been all work and no play for a while and I'm finally getting my balance back again (sigh of relief!). Thankfully, I go on vacation in a few weeks. I hope to write a few more posts before I leave :-) As far as beauty news, I have been using products in my own stash-I have bought a few things here and there and I did purchase a big haul from a Mac Pro class I took the beginning of October (more about that in another post). Here are some of my faves that I've been using constantly using since the last time I posted. KISSABLE COUTURE GLOSSES I bought these glosses at The Makeup Show back in May and I've been loving them every since. The glosses are really long wea...
