A Day in NYC- Blue and Brown Look

A few weeks ago I went to Soho, New York with a few friends for a Natural Hair Show. I wanted to do a simple look but I also wanted to wear some lipstick, I normally just wear gloss. I was in the mood to wear one of my fall shade lipsticks...and this is the look that I ended up creating!

The products I used are pictured below...

FACE

-Mac Oil Control Lotion

-Mac NC45 Studio Finish Concealer

-Mac Studio Fix Powder in C6

-Elf Candid Coral Blush on cheeks

-Elf Peachy Keen blush on apples of my cheeks

EYES

-Mac Rubenesque (golden- peach with gold pearl) paintpot as a base

-Cover Girl Crystal Waters eye enhancers quad (2 blue shadows in the quad, on my lid)

-Make Up For Ever eyeshadow in Expresso 17 (matte chocolate brown)

-Mac NC45 Stuido Finish Concealer as a highlight on my brow bone area

-Mac Engraved Powerpoint pencil as eyeliner

-Sephora Mascara in Black

-Elf Brow Kit in Medium

LIPS

-Mac Currant lip liner

-Mac Desire lipstick

Do you have any tips on how I can dye my eyebrows? They are too dark and I plan on dying my hair to a lighther brown or blond color.

Thanks for commenting! Yes, I do have a great tip that I got from Makeup Artist Sam Fine from Twitter. He uses Sally Hansen's Face Bleaching kit, you can get it from a beauty supply store between $5-$7.

He suggests applying the bleach to your brows for 1-2 minutes and then look at the finished color of your brows to see if your're satisfied. If not, you can always reapply the bleach again to get your desired shade you want. I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, ask away.

Mac, Inglot Haul + Swatches

Hey, Glamour Dolls! I'm back with another haul, I surprised myself by buying another haul so soon after the other one, but; I work hard... (shrugs) and I deserve it! Read on to see what I purchased and my thoughts. Click the pics to enlarge. Lippies I've been wanting Up the Amp lipstick for a while as well as Viva Glam Nicki and I'm pleased with the both of them. Up the Amp is a lavender violet color, it reminds me of a softer version of Violetta lipstick from Mac. I'm really not a fan of violet lipsticks (go figure) so, I pair it with a brown lip liner and it mutes the color down perfectly for me. Viva Nicki is gorgeous a beautiful yellow-pink color. I'm going to do a lip of the day, so you all can see how it looks. I've heard that Viva Nicki is going to be around for 1 full year, I'm definitely going to get a few more tubes. One of my most used foundations is the Mac Face and Body liquid foundation. I've been promising a review on it, so here it is. I'm Hitting Pan...Are you?

Yay!!! I'm finally hitting pan on lipstick! For those that don't know, hitting pan means that you've used a product so much that you can start to see the inside pan of the container... in other words-you've used the product so much that you're about to run out of it :) I've hit pan on products before but never lipstick. Mac "O" and Viva Glam VI SE Mac "O" lipstick (purplish-red with golden pearl) which is the first lipstick I ever bought from Mac and Viva Glam VI special edition (blue based pink) are the two lipsticks that I'm hitting pan on. "O" I have had forever (shameful, I know) and Viva Glam VI I've had for a year... I've been wearing it to work every day and now it's almost gone. I love Viva Glam VI...
